A year after her divorce from Victor and her employment at the Genoa Chronicle, Leanna, now known as Leanna Love, has become famous for her spicy romance articles. The writer is followed with interest by Brad, who decides to meet her to propose a collaboration with Jabot Cosmetics. Leanna, visually struck by Brad's beauty, accepts the proposal of the man, who intends to exploit the popularity of the woman to advertise Jabot by bringing her on television with a column of advice featuring the company's products. This decision, however, is strongly opposed by Victor, who has no intention of hiring his ex-wife at Jabot. It is only the intervention of Douglas, a great admirer of Leanna's, that convinces him to create a television show for her, the "Leanna Love Show". The show, obviously full of scoops and news about the glittering and golden world of celebrities, is an immediate and extraordinary success, but meets with the disapproval of Michael, her current boyfriend, not convinced by Brad's intentions. This leads to a breakup between Michael, who decides to move to Chicago, and Leanna, who confirms her intention to continue the project. Things change, however, when Leanna decides to change the title of her show to "I Hate Men", a clear reference to her unfortunate love affairs, in which she aims to ridicule the male gender. Jack doesn't like the idea at all, and criticizes Brad for the choice of associating the Jabot brand to Leanna. He finds the support of John, who is not at all convinced that Leanna can bring any benefit to the company and is instead worried that she might create a sort of negative publicity around the brand. Brad, however, openly takes Leanna's side, opposing her replacement and justifying his choice with the show's high audience figures and, above all, the dramatic increase in their sales. In the meantime, even Jill is convinced of the necessity to disassociate herself from Leanna and Rex decides to help his companion by making Leanna lose her popularity. Rex and Jill, thus, hatch a plot to end the woman's reign as queen of the TV talk shows by making Leanna herself look hypocritical in front of her audience. And so Rex, in the disguise of Roger Bingham, manages to seduce the woman and have a photo taken of him kissing her, with the clear intent of demonstrating that Leanna doesn't hate men at all. All the tabloids and magazines, as predicted by Rex and Jill, then report the news of Leanna's alleged affair; however, this news does not affect the success of Leanna's program, which in fact sanctions the failure of their plan.

1990 (#26) - Brad and Leanna's partnership and Rex's attempt at sabotage
A year after her divorce from Victor and her employment at the Genoa Chronicle, Leanna, now known as Leanna Love, has become famous for her spicy romance articles. 1989 (#27) - Leanna's journalistic success and engagement with Michael
After being kicked off the ranch by a furious Victor, Leanna certainly didn't lose heart. The success of the two books written about Victor earned her a large income and, above all, a great reputation. Determined to exploit her skills as a writer and her followers as a fan, Leanna thus took on the job at the Genoa Chronicle, now directed by Will Ashland, as head of the editorial staff of the pink and scandalous chronicle. Her columns, signed with her pseudonym and stage name Leanna Love, are always full of spicy details about the stories of the VIPs and the wealthiest inhabitants of Genoa City. The column has a great success, but obviously also a lot of lawsuits and complaints for defamation. It is precisely to overcome these judicial quarrels that Leanna turns to Michael and his law firm; and between the two, soon, a great understanding and complicity is born. Approached then by their respective unfortunate love stories, Leanna and Michael begin to date and share many happy and carefree moments, which leads them to get closer and closer until the decision to get engaged.

1989 (#10) - Jill's tumultuous love life
Although she has been seeing David for a few months now, Jill is not at all satisfied with his relationship; on the other hand, the man does nothing to gain the woman's trust, giving the woman the opportunity to make her suspect that David's interest is more focused on economic than emotional interests. The same suspicions are nourished by Jack, who over time has become a real adviser for the woman, who does not hide his concerns about David's career ambitions; finally getting a job as an assistant, in fact, David does not stop lobbying upwards by constantly asking the woman to act as an intermediary with Jack to obtain a position of high responsibility at Jabot. Jill, completely fed up with the situation, then seeks comfort in her former Michael Crawford, promising the man to obtain for him the complete legal management of the company. Michael, however, informs Jill that he is happily engaged with sweet Mandy Kemper, appearing reluctant to get back with the woman who once dumped him to be with David, with whom he is now breaking up. Convinced that Jill is a real man-hunter, Michael tries to talk him out of the woman's advances, even if he is eventually forced to give in to the passion. So he decides to end his relationship with Mandy and start a new relationship with Jill, who in the meantime has been left by David for the joy of Jack, who fires him. However, Jill's tumultuous love life seems to find no peace and stability, as Jack also opposes this woman's relationship, being jealous of Jill and thus proving to be more than just a counselor for the woman. It's enough for Michael to bitterly regret the choice, so he decides to immediately break up with Jill and go back to Mandy, who, however, has no intention of forgiving Michael's escapades, claiming to have already forgotten him. In all this, Jill finds herself once again alone, but at least with the knowledge that neither David nor Michael, nor even a megalomaniac like Jack, could ever be men suitable for her and her needs.

1987 (#11) - Katherine’s role in Skip flirt and the breakup with Michael
Representing Jill legally in her judicial battle against Katherine for custody of Phillip Jr. is, of course, Michael, who has been engaged to the woman for over a year. During this time, Katherine tries in every way to put this relationship in trouble, knowing the legal skills of the young and charming lawyer. Knowing that Skip is going through a difficult period of misunderstandings with Carol, who has always been attracted by Jack, Katherine tries to bring the man closer to Jill. Therefore, numerous periods of tension are set in motion between Jill and Michael, more and more jealous of the friendship between Jill and Skip, who doesn't want to know more about Carol. This, meanwhile, is taken by Jack, who is not interested in a relationship with the girl but who doesn't mind having fun with her. The constant quarrels between Michael and Jill are obviously also reflected in the judicial situation, as when Michael refuses to appear in court to defend Jill out of revenge. In the end, when Jack gets tired of his dating Carol, she gets back involved with Skip, who forgives the girl and makes it clear that there is only a strong friendship with Jill. Jill's judicial defeat, however, prevents her to make peace with Michael; on the contrary, it provokes important reflections also in the private life of the couple and a deep incurable break. Jill accuses Michael of not having done everything to protect Phillip Jr.'s custody, while the man accuses Jill of an excessive commitment to Jabot, with obvious explicit references to the possibility for Jill to see Skip, which has pushed them further and further away. So Michael's extreme attempt to re-establish the relationship with a sudden marriage proposal to Jill is useless: the girl has now decided to end the relationship.

1987 (#9) - The legal battle between Jill and Katherine over custody of Phillip Jr.
Returning to Genoa City after being called back by Katherine to donate blood to Jill, who was injured after Sven's attack, Phillip Jr certainly does not show great attachment to his mother. Katherine accuses Jill of raising Phillip Jr. in the worst possible way, moving from one bed to another on the pretext of creating a family around him. The only consequence of this behavior is that he felt neglected and little loved., who suffered from his mother's absences and who, as soon as he could, decided to leave Genoa City to go and study away from Jill. Back in the city, however, Katherine has no intention of making him leave again and informs the boy, despite her resistance, that she has already enrolled him at the University of Genoa City. Phillip protests against the move, but both Katherine and Jill try to make him understand the importance of growing up with his family. Meanwhile, Katherine is considering removing custody of the boy from Jill, who has shown herself unable as a mother to raise her son, and adopting Phillip Jr. herself, who is after all her late husband's son. Thus begins a long legal and trial battle for custody of the boy, a battle that obviously involves Jill and Katherine, represented by Michael Crawford and Mitchell Sherman respectively, who in a whirlwind of accusations and counter-accusations fight for the boy's love. The latter is thus involved in a rivalry that goes beyond the dispute itself and is rooted in the historic war between the two women, who blame themselves for all the events and their misfortunes of recent years, starting from the accident that caused Phillip's life to be lost and Katherine's lawsuit that led to the annulment of the marriage between Jill and Phillip. This very episode, according to Katherine, is the woman's only mistake, which prevented Phillip Jr. from obtaining the surname Chancellor and thus aspiring to inherit the entire family fortune. Katherine thus announces her willingness to adopt the boy to take his father's surname and make him the legitimate heir to her fortune. Forced to attend all the court proceedings and endless court hearings, Phillip Jr. finds himself more confused than ever, not knowing who to agree with between Katherine and Jill. The boy obviously feels more connected to Jill, but Katherine's reasons are in part felt to be true by the boy, who shows a certain connection with the woman, also lured by the economic prospects that the surname Chancellor could guarantee him. In any case, Phillip Jr promises both of them that he will never turn his face to them, whatever the outcome of the trial, since the two women are an active part of his family and have the feeling that guilt and reason must obviously be split down the middle. The judge's verdict, as expected, does not give either of them a complete victory. In fact, Katherine's application for adoption is rejected, Jill being Phillip Jr.'s mother, but nevertheless grants temporary custody to the woman, who thus has the opportunity to raise the boy in her estate, considered as the most suitable home for his needs. Katherine also receives the court's approval to change his surname to Phillip Jr.'s Chancellor, who thus officially becomes an heir to the entire estate.

1986 (#32) - Sven's escape to Mexico and Jack's reintegration into the company
Back at the police station, Carl immediately draws up a report of what happened, which, in fact, raises all charges against Jack, who is therefore exonerated. In the meantime, the search continues for Sven, but he has already lost track of him, having boarded a direct flight to Mexico, where he finds salvation. Jill, although sorry for not having had the satisfaction of seeing her attacker with justice, thanks Jack for the beautiful gesture and the sacrifice made to maintain the dignity of the Abbott family. So does John, while admitting that he is not yet ready to forgive his son. Finally, Jack returns to the homeless shelter thanking Ellen for making him understand the important things and for making him appreciate life more. Ellen embraces the man who is happy that the truth has come out, a truth she never doubted. The two of them exchange one last kiss, even though they agree to end their relationship here, belonging to two worlds that are too distant and different. It is not long, as it happens, that John tries to take one more step towards Jack's forgiveness by deciding to reintegrate him into the company, even if he has a low qualification so that he can gain experience and gain the job he wants to do with his own hands. John's decision to take Jack back into the company was also supported by Ellen, who becomes a valuable confidant of John's. John is in fact fascinated by Ellen's work at the shelter of the poor and decides to help financially with the project, soon finding himself in a relationship with the woman.

1986 (#29) - Sven's plan and Jill's rescue with Jack and Carl's intervention
Meanwhile, Sven is the only one not happy about Jill's awakening. Afraid that Jill might remember her attacker, Sven decides he can't help but eliminate the woman altogether, who in the meantime begins to see her memories reemerging. When Jill is released and taken home to Michael, Sven decides it's time to take action. Meanwhile, Jack is incredulous when he receives the news that Jill has recognized him as the attacker, or at least doesn't exclude that it could have been him. Ellen thus consoles Jack, assuring him that she has complete faith in him and believes he's innocent. Just as she is in the shelter, meanwhile, Jack thinks and thinks back to the events of that night, and remembers that just before Gina left the hotel and was attacked, she was talking and drinking with a mysterious man, the same man she crossed paths with as he was leaving the hotel. After some research, Jack manages to contact Leonard, the hotel concierge, who tells him that he realized he had found the gun in a different place when he took it to help Gina: it had probably been used before by someone else. Jack then reconnects everything, sensing that Jill's attacker is the man he crossed paths with and that talking to Gina had revealed to him that he was a masseur. Jack, thus, understands that Jill is in great danger and decides to leave the shelter running to Jill and Michael to tell them the whole truth. Meanwhile, at Jill's house there is Sven himself, who convinces Jill to go to him for a private massage; the woman, from Sven's insistence, finally understands everything, including why Jack has voluntarily accused himself, and realizes that she is in great danger. Warned that Jack has violated his parole and left the shelter, Carl and Salena immediately set out to search for him. Both Carl and Jack arrive together at Jill's house, which they find strangely desolate but with the door left open. Entering the house in search of the woman, they find a troubled Sven ready to pack up and leave the country. Between Sven and Carl, a furious fight breaks out, which gives Sven the chance to escape. Jack, meanwhile, manages to find Jill and save her: Sven had tied her up and locked her in a cold room, where she would surely find death. Everyone's overjoyed to see Jill alive again.

1986 (#27) - Jack's probation and Ellen's experience with the homeless
Michael is thrilled when the doctors inform him that Jill is responding to treatment and that her life is no longer in danger; and when she wakes up, the woman sees her man caressing her face. Shortly thereafter, Carl arrives at the hospital to get information from the woman about who shot her. Jill describes the evening of the attack by telling all the details of the scene; however, she confesses that she does not remember who attacked her. When Carl informs her that Jack has been arrested and convicted, Jill cannot exclude that it was not the man, remembering that she saw him at the presentation with a very dark and grudging face. Taken to prison by Carl himself, Jack desperately proclaims his innocence, although no one seems to give him credit as the evidence against him is very clear. Jack and his lawyer Howard Morrison can't make his case in front of the cops, and spends his first night in jail. Here, Jack realizes he can't face a whole trial, since he's sure that sooner or later he'll get out and go public on his night of love with Jill. Determined not to make his father suffer even more and not to cause him a new pain like the one he would suffer because of the leak, Jack the next day rejects Gina's proposal, who intends to testify before Judge Walter Edmonson to exonerate the man, telling how he defended her by driving away her attackers with his own gun. Jack, on the other hand, surprisingly charges himself with the assault and is sentenced to five years on probation, as a reward for spontaneous confession. Jack, thus, is taken to prison and, during the day, begins to frequent the homeless shelter where he has been sent to serve daily. This experience proved to be of great influence on Jack, who began to appreciate the true values of life and to come into contact with the other side of society that he had never known before, that of poverty, hunger and misery. Jack also makes the acquaintance of two volunteers from the center, Ron Clarke and Marvin Hawkins, and especially Ellen Winters, the center's manager, who immediately shows great sympathy for Jack. Impressed by Jack's sweetheart as he takes care of an old lady at the center named Nellie Flint, Ellen soon begins to develop something for the man. A great harmony is born between the two, to the point that they exchange a fleeting kiss soaked in feelings.

1986 (#24) - Phillip Jr.'s blood donation and Jack's indictment
While Carl and Salena are busy investigating who shot Jill, she continues to struggle between life and death with Michael at her side praying for her. Informed by Dr. Joseph Lerner that Jill needs a blood donor as soon as possible, Katherine decides to bring Jill's son, Phillip Jr., back to Genoa City so he can stand by his mother and give blood. To the amazement of Katherine and Michael, however, the boy is very angry with his mother and quite upset, refusing to donate blood and confessing that he does not care about Jill, and whether or not she will survive. Katherine, certainly not Jill's best friend, convinces Phillip Jr. to do the right thing, but at the same time she is very worried about how little Phillip Jr. grew up, who has obviously suffered a lot from Jill's absence, who has always been much more committed to getting money and power by moving from one bed to another, rather than raising and educating her son. In any case, Carl's investigation to find the culprit continues and the policeman has four major suspects, all people who may have a grudge against Jill in some way. The first of these is John, who is still suffering from the recent divorce; Katherine, Jill's sworn enemy; and Jack, who believes that his life has been ruined by the woman; finally, some leads also lead to Christian Letiaff, the French chemist who worked for Jill for the Men's Line and who, evidently, hasn't paid yet. The turning point happens when the results of the analysis of the gun arrive, which clearly show Jack's fingerprints. He is thus charged with attempted murder and arrested, making John's incredulity towards his son, who he can no longer recognize or look at his face.

1986 (#20) - Jill's hospitalization in intensive care unit and the clues against Jack
Shortly after Sven puts the gun back, Jack willing to quickly forget this bad day comes out of his room and heads off. He notices, however, just outside the hotel, that some vagabonds are bothering Gina and so he asks the hotel concierge, Leonard, for help. With Leonard's gun, Jack runs after Gina's attackers and makes them leave before returning the gun to the owner. Michael, meanwhile, returns to his room and finds Jill lying on the floor in the shower in a pool of blood. He immediately alerts the ambulance, which takes Jill to the hospital, where she arrives in critical condition and is taken under observation in intensive care by Dr. Hank Steele. As Jill struggles between life and death, Michael informs the police of what happened and Carl, along with his assistant Salena Wylie, takes control of the investigation. After an argument with Michael about who might want to hurt Jill, suspicions all fall on Jack, who learns from Carl that the weapon used is a 38 caliber, the very one he used to drive away Gina's attackers. Scared that his fingerprints are on Leonard's gun, Jack runs to the hotel and takes the gun away, getting rid of it and throwing it into a lake. Carl soon realizes Leonard's gun is missing and immediately sets out to find Jack, who is no longer being tracked down. Jack, in fact, afraid that he might be accused of attempted murder, is trying to escape from Genoa City by boarding a one-way flight to Tahiti. Intercepted by Salena, this stops him in time and takes him back to the police station where he's interrogated. on charges of attempted murder despite these attempts to explain his reasons. Jack's position, however, becomes increasingly problematic when, a few days later, a cop named Ken Cosny finds the incriminating weapon with the man's prints on it.

1986 (#19) - Jack's advances to Gina and Sven's shots in the shower to Jill.
On the day of the presentation of the new Jabot Men Collection at the City Hotel, everyone is excited. In the end, the collection was a resounding success and John congratulated a very happy Jill, who celebrated with Michael for a wonderful evening with a luxury dinner in the same hotel. At the presentation of the line there is also a disappointed and bitter Jack, forced to see the success of Jill, with whom he is still furious for having determined his expulsion from the company. Jack then confronts John, but he liquidates him without giving him a chance to speak. Jack, eager to distract himself and get this ominous day out of his mind, meets Gina in the lobby of the hotel, with whom he begins to flirt. When he is about to make love, however, Gina rejects Jack's advances, leaving her hotel room annoyed. Meanwhile, right in the suite next to Jack's, Jill relaxes with one of Sven's messages. The man can't hold back his passion and starts kissing Jill on the back who, noticing the man's attempts at seduction, enragedly chases him out of the room. A disappointed Gina, who finds herself in the hotel bar with a drink in her hand, sees the arrival of an angry Sven, with whom she shares a couple of drinks before the man decides to go back up. No one, however, notices that Sven takes the service revolver of Leonard Baines, the hotel receptionist. Sven, completely drunk and insane, returns to Jill's hotel room with the second key; the second key, unaware of anything, is caught in the shower by Sven, who fires two shots from the 38 calibre before going back down and putting the gun back.

1986 (#14) - Jill's Men Brand Collection and City Hotel's masseur Sven
Jill, having filed the marriage with John and obtained what was requested, decided to concentrate exclusively on her work, dedicating herself to her new project, the Men Brand Collection. Thanks also to the research of a French chemist named Christian Letiaff on some fragrances and perfumes used for cosmetics, the collection was a great success. This is a very happy and satisfying period for Jill, not only in her work; in fact, despite the breakup with Michael, he finally realizes he loves the woman and decides to forgive her and put aside the disappointment for Jill's lies about the photos. Between Michael and Jill, so, the spark of love is sparked again and the two of them officially get engaged. Jill also starts attending the City Hotel for business reasons, having decided to organize the presentation of her line there and here she meets Sven Petersen, the hotel's masseur. So Jill starts attending the massage sessions of the man, who between one session and the next begins to feel a strong attraction towards the woman.

1986 (#7) - Jill's press conference and the divorce hearing with John
Jill's revelations about the identity of her lover make John thoughtful. Recalling the early days when he met Jill and the trip he canceled because of a kiss with Jack, John's doubts that the two of them, always in close contact in their work at Jabot, may have really betrayed him. John refuses to believe that his son was capable of such a gesture, but when Jill informs him that she has scheduled a press conference the very day after the trial, John realizes that he is being blackmailed: if he had shown the photos in court, Jill would have revealed to the world the following day that she had betrayed John with his son. John asks for time, but Jill seems adamant. On the day of the press conference, all the reporters are excited and intrigued about the statements Jill has to make, and one film producer, Ron Mc Fall, even offers Jill a film about her life. In the end, however, Jill agrees to postpone the hearing by two days, moving the press conference ahead of the hearing before the judge. Meanwhile, John informs Katherine of what Jill and initially the woman told him, for the good she feels about John. She absolutely denies that the man in the photos is her son Jack. John, however, notices a certain upset of Katherine, from which he eventually manages to get the name of the author of the photos out: Lindsey. Contacted by John, Lindsey also shows herself to be rather vague, however, increasing John's suspicions even more, who realizes, watching Jack's naked body while he sleeps, that his wife has betrayed him. Completely shocked, disappointed and embittered, John tries to contact Jill and fails to do so; however, the woman, now convinced to reveal the truth about her lover to everyone, is joined during the press conference by John, who interrupts the interview just before Jill can reveal the truth and the spicy details about her divorce. John admits that the woman is right and thus asks not to reveal this embarrassing truth to anyone, which would hurt him too much; John then announces that he will accept any request from Jill, humbly admitting defeat before the woman's satisfied eyes. The following day, at the first divorce hearing, Katherine is stopped by John just before going to testify, with the man who explains to her that he wants to save the face of his family and to prevent Jill from revealing the truth to everyone; then it is Lindsey's turn, who testifies in John's favor without mentioning anything about the photos and about a betrayal of Jill, who observes the scene satisfied. At the end of her deposition, Lindsey is thanked by John, informed by the woman of her wish to leave Genoa City to go to New York.

1986 (#5) - Michael's disappointment, John's safety and Jill's revelations
Having obtained the photos, Katherine is happy to finally help John get rid of Jill and immediately contacts him informing him that his plan is still viable, having found the incriminating photos. Katherine, who is already enjoying the taste of victory over her sworn enemy Jill, decides to give the photos to John, who is thrilled to have the trump card in his hand to kick Jill out of Villa Abbott without having to pay anything. John immediately warns Jill that he is in possession of the photos, advising her to eliminate any claim for compensation for the divorce, being he, if anything, in a position to do so; and as proof of this, he sends some of the photos in his possession to Jill herself. Michael is completely shocked to see the photographs and angrily asks Jill how much he would have told her about them, remembering that he has repeatedly asked her if there was anything more to know. Michael then accuses Jill of making fun of him and decides to immediately stop seeing the woman, despite the fact that she apologizes for lying to him and then coldly informs her that she would accept any request from John, being unable to ask anything more than a modest sum for alimony. Jill, however, is not a woman to lose heart and, willing to do anything, decides to act accordingly. So Jill meets John and informs him that if he used the photos in the divorce hearing to achieve his aims, she would tell everyone the identity of her lover. John initially seems indifferent and not interested in the man's identity, but is completely shocked when Jill reveals to him that the man she spent the night with is none other than her son Jack. John, however, incredulously, cannot believe Jill's thesis and, convinced that Jill is acting under the influence of desperation to convince him not to show the photos during the divorce hearing, chases her away without giving her a chance to argue her case.

1986 (#2) - The spark between Michael and Jill and Esther's blackmail attempt
As the weeks go by, the distance between Jill and John grows further and further. Their love has long since ended, and everyone's goal is to end their marriage with a judicial victory over the amount owed by John to Jill. Michael's lawyer, after receiving the rejection of his initial offer, realizes that he can ask for much more; he promises Jill that the divorce will cost John $5 million plus $150,000 a year in support and maintenance. Jill is enthusiastic about her lawyer, who has now also become her lover; she does not suspect, however, that John has a plan to reverse the dispute. At her lawyer's suggestion, John realizes that the photos of Jill's betrayal would justify the divorce petition, which would make any claim by the other party vain, except for the necessary minimum maintenance claims. So when John asks Katherine to buy her photos, the woman is forced to admit to John that she had them destroyed; Katherine, however, promises John to testify at the divorce hearing, happy to help bring down her bitter enemy. In reality, however, the photos are not destroyed at all. In fact, when Katherine ordered Esther to make them disappear, the woman did not obey and kept them with her, believing that one day they might be useful again. And determined to take advantage of this, Esther began to send anonymous letters to Katherine, created using words cut out from the newspaper, with a request for $100,000 in exchange for the photos. Katherine, however, does not take long to realize that the author of the letters is her own maid Esther, who soon confesses to owning the photos and asks her employer to forgive her by passing on all the photos in her possession.

1985 (#28) - Jill's fake depression and Michael's legal defense
Not wanting to leave the Abbotts' residence, Jill decides to fake a depression in order to obtain her husband's willingness and punishment, hoping that he will forgive her. After stealing a medical and psychology book from Brock's office, Jill begins to mimic all the symptoms of depression, from not wanting to eat to staying in bed all day. The plan seems to work when the doctor, after examining the woman, advises John to postpone the divorce, having found Jill to be in an emotionally altered and disturbed state that suggests a severe depression. The doctor then orders John to get the woman a psychologist, which, strangely enough in John and Katherine's eyes, Jill seems to be anxious to see. When Katherine then hears Jill repeat her desire to commit suicide, she begins to seriously suspect that Jill is faking to delay the divorce and achieve her goals. So she decides to verify the genuineness of Jill's illness herself by posing herself as the perpetrator of her suicide; Jill, however, immediately jumps out of bed, revealing her lies to everyone, including John. That same night, Jill is out of the house, and contacts Michael Crawford, a charming lawyer, to represent her. However, Jill carefully avoids telling Michael all the details of the affair, particularly those of the photos and his betrayal; and so, when Michael realizes John's fortune, she makes a seemingly reasonable request for $132,000 a year, which John, however, considers patently ridiculous. In the meantime, Michael, strongly attracted to the woman, kisses her by surprise, and the spark of passion strikes between the two.
