Having been happily together for months, Katherine and Rex, more and more convinced of being made for each other, begin to organize their wedding to start all over from where they had interrupted their story because of Clint's manipulations. To help Katherine with the preparations is strangely enough her arch-enemy of all times, Jill. Despite the fact that for some time now peace seems to have broken out between Katherine and Jill, culminating in a mutual agreement to help each other or at least not hinder each other in their attempts to win back the hearts of Rex and John respectively, Katherine seems quite surprised by the woman's offer of help. Jill, of course, has a precise plan on her side: to turn the wedding into a double surprise wedding with John having by now definitively dismissed his interest in Leanna and choosing her. So, when Jill informs Katherine of her intentions, the woman appears very skeptical but, keeping faith with her pact, agrees not to hinder the idea, and even to favor her by making Jill the maid of honor and John the main witness of the celebration. As the days go by, then, Jill is preoccupied with buying the wedding rings and contacting the Reverend about performing a double ceremony. Then when Jill was forced to get John to sign the acceptance for the wedding, in order not to inform him and to arrange a surprise for him without his knowledge, she put the document among her countless papers to sign, so as to get the signature without the man noticing. When the big day of the wedding arrives, Katherine and Rex proclaim their eternal love under the smug and emotional eyes of the entire community gathered at the church, first and foremost Brock, Danny and Gina, who are happy for their father's newfound joy despite his opposition to her continuing to spend time with Clint by visiting him in jail. At the end of the celebration, Jill tells the guests that, if John wants, this will be the occasion for a second wedding. Completely disconcerted by this proposal, as well as all the guests, John refuses the proposal, so that the plan fails. However, during the wedding banquet, John makes up for it by dancing with the woman who is now officially his partner.

1992 (#10) - Rex and Katherine's marriage and Jill's idea of a double wedding.
Having been happily together for months, Katherine and Rex, more and more convinced of being made for each other, begin to organize their wedding to start all over from where they had interrupted their story because of Clint's manipulations. 1991 (#31) - Brad and Traci's marriage and Dina's vain attempts with John
Meanwhile, the fateful day of the wedding between Traci and Brad is approaching. Brad, upon his wife's request, confirms his will to marry her and to be the man of her life, thus rejecting any hypothesis of his interest in Ashley, who seems to have resolved her problems and misunderstandings with Victor. The organization of the wedding is officially entrusted to the father of the bride, John; in reality, everything turns into a new competition between Jill and Leanna, who work hard to prepare everything making sure that every little detail is perfect. The two women's goal is obvious: to make themselves look good in front of John in the hope that he will decide to choose her over the other. Both Leanna and Jill hope that they will be the ones to accompany John to the wedding, but, unexpectedly, things become even more complicated when Dina and her son Marc surprise return to town. Traci is overjoyed that the two of them have accepted the invitation, and it soon becomes clear why they have returned, since Dina never leaves John's side. Under the stares of two disappointed Leanne and Jill, in fact, Dina shows up at the wedding reception playing the hostess, introducing herself as the mother of the bride and effectively upstaging both Leanna and Jill. In the end, in front of a large number of guests, the Abbotts celebrate a new chapter in their long and glorious history with the ceremony that marks the beginning of the marriage between Traci and Brad, who swear eternal love for the second time. During the festivities, John later asks Dina about her absence over the past few years, being moved by her account of being seriously ill for almost two years. John seems to be very impressed by Dina's story, which almost manages to make a breach in his heart; less impressed seem to be Jack and Ashley, who, as always, find it hard to believe the woman's justifications, as they are now very suspicious of her. And in fact, this time they are both right, since it's Marc himself who denies his mother, revealing that Dina hasn't been sick at all. Realizing that the woman has only tried to lure him to her, John becomes furious with Dina to the delight of Leanna and Jill, who thus renew their hopes for John's love.

1991 (#29) - The rivalry between Jill and Leanna for the conquest of John
sabato 15 agosto 2015
1991 (#11) - Leanna's choice and the alliance between Jill and Katherine
Happy with Rex's donation of his sperm, Leanna undergoes the artificial insenination procedure full of hope and desire to become pregnant. Leanna begins to make big plans for her son and his future. Rex, already unhappy about having to conceive a child with such a surrogate procedure, reaches the peak of his endurance when Leanna informs her audience, during her show, that she has lived up to her ideals by refusing to try to make a baby with traditional methods. Feeling mocked by the media for being the only man to become a father to his woman without ever even touching her, Rex feels his bond with Leanna slowly breaking down; a situation in which Katherine fits in perfectly by getting very close to her ex-husband, in the belief that she can have a future with him. Knowing that Rex had no interest in raising a child of his own, and not even being sure of the stability of her relationship with him, Leanna begins to scrutinize the possible alternatives that could father her son. In the end, Leanna comes to the conclusion that Brad, Paul, and Brock all seem to be good candidates, but it is only John who seems to be the perfect one. In fact, John has always been very kind to Leanna, who is strongly convinced that with a great father like John she would certainly have the life she has always wanted for her son. There is only one obstacle, however, to the achievement of his goals, namely the fact that Leanna is not the only woman interested in John, having in fact to win the formidable competition of Jill. Therefore, being halfway between John and Rex, Leanna is simultaneously pitted against two of the most influential and powerful women in Genoa City, Jill and Katherine. Always bitter enemies, in recent times, however, the two women often find themselves united because of the events of Nina. Now, however, there is one more reason to strengthen their alliance: the common hatred towards Leanna. Jill and Katherine, finding themselves in the same situation of having to fight against Leanna in order to conquer the people they love, make a pact to help each other by using their mutual qualities and weapons to achieve their goals. And so, Jill promises to help Katherine conquer Rex on the condition that Katherine, in turn, favors Jill in her attempt to win John's heart.

1991 (#8) - Jill's interest in John and Leanna's insemination with Rex
Jill, meanwhile, has not at all put aside her feelings towards John and is convinced to try a new approach towards him. In spite of the fact that her relationship with John has cooled down due to the fact that she was dating Rex a few months earlier, Jill has no intention of letting her ex-husband get away and of giving up the man she loves, strongly convinced that he is the only one who can make her truly happy. Jill, therefore, begins a slow but steady mission of reconciliation with John, gradually trying to regain his trust using not only the most convincing weapon at her disposal, her body, but also her intelligence. However, when Jill decides to invite the man to a romantic dinner for what would have been their wedding anniversary, Jack once again warns him to be careful with Jill, whose tricks they both know well by now. This time, however, John responds sharply to his son, reminding him that he knows his ex-wife all too well and, moreover, that he is still able to manage his life as he sees fit. In any case, John once again assures Jack not to worry, not forgetting all the wrongdoings that Jill has caused him in the past. Leanna meanwhile, who in the meantime has started a swinging relationship with Rex, begins to feel the urge to have a baby and finally become a mother. However Leanna, having no desire to "be bad", i.e. sleep with men, informs Rex that she has decided to resort to artificial insemination. Rex, already frustrated enough by the fact of having entered into a relationship without sex, something that amplifies even more that veil of nostalgia of his marriage with Katherine, protests Leanna's decision stating that he much prefers traditional methods, certainly less clinical and unnatural. Leanna, however, appears inflexible in wanting to respect her principles and in the end does not leave any other possibility to Rex, who gives in to the woman's requests, contacting the doctor in charge of insemination, Dr. Grace Sundell, and leaving a deposit of his sperm to the sperm bank.

1991 (#2) - Brad and Victor's tensions and understanding with Cassandra
The beginning of the year brings big changes at the corporate level. It all revolves around the dualism between Brad, currently the head of both Jabot, a subsidiary of Newmans Enterprise, and Cassandra's Ra-Tech, and Jack, who is now reclaiming a place at the helm of the family business. However, there are many factors that lead to a change in the current situation, mostly decided by Victor, majority owner of Newman Enterprises. First of all, there is the relationship with Brad that, following Cassandra's decision to appoint him from temporary CEO to permanent CEO of Ra-Tech, effectively ousting Victor himself, is particularly strained. Another determining factor is the marriage between Ashley and Victor; the man, in fact, is well aware of the attraction that existed in the past between Brad and Ashley and wants to avoid contact as much as possible; all this without considering that Ashley would like very much to find Jack at the helm of Jabot; a hope shared by John himself and, in the end, by Victor himself after Brad has ruined the company's image through his collaboration with Leanna's TV show. In short, the time is ripe for Victor to test Brad, ordering him to adopt a better attitude at work if he doesn't want him replaced. The request is interpreted by Brad as a declaration of war; and without thinking twice he quits Jabot, but not Newman Enterprises, secure in his position at Ra-Tech. Accepting pressure from John and Ashley, Victor appoints Jack as the new CEO of the family business, which brings him over the moon. To console an angry Brad, however, is Cassandra, who, unlike Victor, renews her confidence in the man, not failing to show him that her interest goes beyond the professional relationship. Brad and Cassandra begin to flirt more and more, despite the fact that the situation is often put in check by Brad himself, who is engaged in the umpteenth attempt to make peace with Traci, who is increasingly jealous of Cassandra and quite fed up with Brad's usual disrespectful behavior.

1990 (#32) - Katherine's sights and Jill's dual involvement with Rex and John
While Rex's plan to discredit Leanna has failed, we certainly can't say that the kiss between the two hasn't had consequences. Katherine, once again determined to have her ex-husband back and ready to start a new war against Jill, decides to take advantage of the situation in order to distance Rex and Jill and, therefore, make Rex come back to her. Katherine, therefore, does everything she can to convince Leanna to date the man, who in the meantime has revealed himself to the woman with his true identity. Rex and Leanna, in fact, continue to see each other, which annoys Jill. The situation gets worse when Jill begins to feel neglected by Rex's useless and vain attempt to take her daughter Gina away from Clint. Not at all willing to be put on the back burner, Jill begins to look elsewhere, deciding to start seeing John again, who in the meantime admits to her that he cannot forget her. For a short time, then, Jill finds herself dating both Rex and John, each of whom is unaware of the situation and believes he is the only man in the woman's life. This, however, does not go unnoticed by Katherine's watchful eyes, and she decides to move on to the final part of her plan, which is to bring the truth out into the light of day. Unbeknownst to Rex and Jill, Katherine confides to John that she is happy for his reunion with Jill and that she has organized an engagement party for him. Jill is happy to accept John's invitation, but does not suspect that Katherine has urged Rex to come to the party to tell Jill of his feelings. As soon as she arrives at Katherine's house, Jill immediately senses the woman's intentions, but is unable to prevent John, in the middle of dinner, from pulling out a flashy ring asking Jill to be his wife. The scene is witnessed by a distraught Rex, who doesn't understand what's going on despite Jill desperately trying to remedy the situation by taking John out and making the guests believe that John, having had a few too many drinks, is not fully lucid. However, it is clear that John is perfectly sober and instead Jill has more than something to explain. Both Rex and John come to the same conclusion, realizing that they have been deceived by the woman and deciding to immediately end their relationship with Jill under Katherine's satisfied and amused eyes. Katherine, after having made sure that Leanna has no intention of continuing to see Rex, not wanting to be the second choice after Jill, is ready to run to console the man, who gets closer to Katherine.

1990 (#26) - Brad and Leanna's partnership and Rex's attempt at sabotage
A year after her divorce from Victor and her employment at the Genoa Chronicle, Leanna, now known as Leanna Love, has become famous for her spicy romance articles. The writer is followed with interest by Brad, who decides to meet her to propose a collaboration with Jabot Cosmetics. Leanna, visually struck by Brad's beauty, accepts the proposal of the man, who intends to exploit the popularity of the woman to advertise Jabot by bringing her on television with a column of advice featuring the company's products. This decision, however, is strongly opposed by Victor, who has no intention of hiring his ex-wife at Jabot. It is only the intervention of Douglas, a great admirer of Leanna's, that convinces him to create a television show for her, the "Leanna Love Show". The show, obviously full of scoops and news about the glittering and golden world of celebrities, is an immediate and extraordinary success, but meets with the disapproval of Michael, her current boyfriend, not convinced by Brad's intentions. This leads to a breakup between Michael, who decides to move to Chicago, and Leanna, who confirms her intention to continue the project. Things change, however, when Leanna decides to change the title of her show to "I Hate Men", a clear reference to her unfortunate love affairs, in which she aims to ridicule the male gender. Jack doesn't like the idea at all, and criticizes Brad for the choice of associating the Jabot brand to Leanna. He finds the support of John, who is not at all convinced that Leanna can bring any benefit to the company and is instead worried that she might create a sort of negative publicity around the brand. Brad, however, openly takes Leanna's side, opposing her replacement and justifying his choice with the show's high audience figures and, above all, the dramatic increase in their sales. In the meantime, even Jill is convinced of the necessity to disassociate herself from Leanna and Rex decides to help his companion by making Leanna lose her popularity. Rex and Jill, thus, hatch a plot to end the woman's reign as queen of the TV talk shows by making Leanna herself look hypocritical in front of her audience. And so Rex, in the disguise of Roger Bingham, manages to seduce the woman and have a photo taken of him kissing her, with the clear intent of demonstrating that Leanna doesn't hate men at all. All the tabloids and magazines, as predicted by Rex and Jill, then report the news of Leanna's alleged affair; however, this news does not affect the success of Leanna's program, which in fact sanctions the failure of their plan.

1989 (#27) - Leanna's journalistic success and engagement with Michael
After being kicked off the ranch by a furious Victor, Leanna certainly didn't lose heart. The success of the two books written about Victor earned her a large income and, above all, a great reputation. Determined to exploit her skills as a writer and her followers as a fan, Leanna thus took on the job at the Genoa Chronicle, now directed by Will Ashland, as head of the editorial staff of the pink and scandalous chronicle. Her columns, signed with her pseudonym and stage name Leanna Love, are always full of spicy details about the stories of the VIPs and the wealthiest inhabitants of Genoa City. The column has a great success, but obviously also a lot of lawsuits and complaints for defamation. It is precisely to overcome these judicial quarrels that Leanna turns to Michael and his law firm; and between the two, soon, a great understanding and complicity is born. Approached then by their respective unfortunate love stories, Leanna and Michael begin to date and share many happy and carefree moments, which leads them to get closer and closer until the decision to get engaged.

1989 (#17) - Victor's discoveries, revenge against Jack and the conquest of Jabot
Victor, reading his biography written by Leanna, is astonished when he finds the same style of writing as Nora Randall, author of the previous book that had discredited him. He discovers with astonishment that there seems to be no shadow of Nora Randall, neither among the authors of the books in libraries nor in the registry offices. Victor thus begins to be suspicious, and he is literally bewildered to learn that Leanna had frequented Jack for a short time; at the very time when the book was supposedly written. Jack then, noticing a certain interest on the part of some unknown men, actually private investigators sent by Victor, about his relationships and his connections with the publishing house that published Nora's book, decides to leave Genoa City for a while; this choice definitely confirms Victor's suspicion: it was Leanna who discredited him! So Victor decides to face the woman face to face and, when the sorry woman confesses, adding that she bitterly repented, she is abruptly expelled from the Newman's ranch. Victor's anger, however, is certainly not only felt by Leanna, who was nothing more than a pawn; Victor, in fact, knows that the person responsible for everything, as well as the author of the book, is Jack himself, to whom Victor begins to turn his attention, hatching an unprecedented thirst for revenge. Victor, in fact, plans to punish Jack with the most precious thing he possesses, the Jabot. The man, after so many years, has finally managed to gain the trust of his father John, who entrusted him with the important role of director of the family business, and therefore of all the wealth of their family. Victor then decided to commit himself with all his strength to taking the company out of Jack's hands and conquering it, thus inflicting a profound humiliation on the boy. Victor, through his trusted men, thus begins to buy a large number of shares of the company in a confidential manner; purchases that make a naive Jack believe that the company is simply reassessing itself in the markets, without suspecting that there is only one buyer behind the purchases. At the same time Victor, through his important and influential knowledge in the financial world, obtains from many bankers the promise to close the taps of credit with Jabot, thus denying him loans and financing in order to put the company in serious difficulty. This move, successful also thanks to the rich bank accounts owned by Victor, who threatens to withdraw in case the bank had not followed his order. In the end, when Jack realizes he is under attack, it is too late: Victor already owns a large part of the company and becomes the first shareholder and owner of Jabot! Jack is shocked to see that behind all this giant financial maneuver there is Victor, who immediately decides to relieve him of the task to appoint, in his place, the person that, after Victor, of course, Jack hates most of all: Brad Carlton. Jack, completely helpless and amazed, feels the humiliation of not having stopped the sale of his father's company, which he feels deeply disappointed. Though on his knees, Jack therefore promises a radiant and satisfied Victor that he will regain his company, at any cost and by any means.

1989 (#8) - The disability of the marriage with Leanna, the alliance of Ashley and Nikki
Increasingly concerned that her secret is in danger, and so is her marriage to Victor, Leanna realizes that the only way to make sure Victor doesn't leave her is to get pregnant with him. However, Leanna's hopes are dashed when Nikki returns to the city and announces to Victor that he has become a father. Victor is overjoyed to embrace his son, even though he criticizes Nikki for not telling her anything. Nikki, who appears strongly determined to get her ex-husband back, apologizes to him for keeping the secret, adding that she hopes there is a way to make it up to him. The reassurances of fidelity to an increasingly grim Leanna are then questioned at the baptism of little Nicholas, where Nikki takes care of every detail to ensure that she recreates the atmosphere of her marriage to Victor. Nikki's plan to win her back reaches a climax when, at the end of the ceremony, she announces to a distraught Victor that she has discovered that her marriage to Leanna is invalid and proposes to him to marry her at the same time. Victor, completely confused and stunned, rejects the marriage proposal and runs off to explain himself to a tearful and desperate Leanna. Victor consoles her, assuring her of all his love and promising that it will not be a piece of paper that will change her feelings. Leanna, reinvigorated by Victor's words and hoping that the two of them would really work, then makes Victor happy by announcing that he has completed his biography entitled: "Victor, the man and the myth"; a book that the man appreciates greatly and decides to start publication right away. Nikki does not hide her bitterness at Victor's decision to stay with Leanna despite their marriage being invalid, and promises to herself that she will not stop there. And, in her struggle against Leanna, she finds an unexpected ally in Ashley, touched by Victor's kindness after discovering that the pendant she had given him was actually not a thought ordered by Steven, but his own, to make her understand when the woman still mattered to him. Ashley and Nikki, sworn enemies, thus ally themselves in the common goal of getting Leanna out of Victor's life.

1989 (#3) - Leanna's fears, Nikki's intentions and the birth of Nicholas
Now resigned to having lost Victor for good, Nikki decides to focus exclusively on her pregnancy, promising herself to become a present and loving mother as she was with Victoria. Leanna, meanwhile, lives happy moments with Victor, who does not suspect at all that he married the woman who, by publishing the book on his life, discredited him in front of everyone's eyes. Victor confesses to the woman that he has fallen madly in love with her, the only one capable of making him forget Nikki. But despite Victor's affection, Leanna cannot help but be worried about losing the man if she discovered the truth; she decides to think about something else, and especially about the biography Victor requested, which is about to be completed. Months go by, and Nikki's pregnancy goes on smoothly; the woman, in order not to arouse suspicion in Victor and make the most gossipy people curious, has decided to leave the city and give birth in peace far from prying eyes. Just a few days before the labor, the life-changing news arrives for Nikki; in fact, she learns that the hasty marriage between Leanna and Victor, having been celebrated in the six months following her divorce, according to the laws of the State is not valid. Nikki, very happy, decides to keep the news to herself to use it at the appropriate time. After a few days, moreover, Nikki herself gives birth to her second son, whom she gives the name of Nicholas to Victor, promising herself and the unborn child that she will re-conquer and marry his father again.

1988 (#27) - Nikki's regrets, loneliness and commitment to forget Victor
The sudden and unexpected marriage between Victor and Leanna was a nasty blow for Nikki. The woman, who has never stopped loving Victor and has always hoped for their enlightenment, can only suffer for this event, which in fact forces her to put her marriage behind her and accept her divorce from Victor once and for all. However, as soon as she learns of her marriage in Las Vegas, she cannot think of a future for her without Victor, and experiences a period of great and profound sadness and depression. Having never accepted the end of her marriage, Nikki blames herself for letting slip the only person who can make her happy, bitterly regretting not having told the man she is expecting a child from him. And now, that it is too late, Nikki is forced to suppress even that little glimmer of hope that still remains in her heart. The only remedy for the woman to overcome this difficult period, besides Katherine's closeness and friendship, is then to concentrate on her work and, above all, on the baby she is carrying, which Nikki hopes she will be able to taste the joy of having a father. The woman thus hypothesizes the possibility of looking for a man with whom to form a family with whom to raise Victoria and the unborn child; and although she soon realizes that no one can ever replace Victor, she is convinced to commit herself to forgetting him and turning over a new leaf forever.

1988 (#26) - Steven's murder and Ashley's despair
Victor returns to the city, fresh from his marriage in Las Vegas to Leanna, just as Steven and Ashley are having a furious discussion. Steven assures the woman that he will devote himself completely to her to protect her and make her safe, but at the same time he demands clarity, transparency and above all a strong willingness to put Victor behind him. Steven thus, despite Ashley's assurance that her future is with him, begins to doubt that the press is completely wrong in insinuating a possible flirtation between his wife and Victor. It is precisely this, however, that presents itself in front of Steven to reassure him and inform him that he has married Leanna. Steven is astonished at how Victor could have so suddenly decided to marry the woman and becomes suspicious; talking to Jack and asking him why they were no longer seeing each other, the man lets it slip that Leanna is really none other than Nora, the author of the defamatory book about Victor, who thus completely ignores his wife's identity. Steven decides to leave it all a secret, not feeling compelled to do Victor a favor, which he never liked; however, when he notices Ashley making friends with Leanna, he seriously begins to think he has to tell his wife who the woman is and explain the whole thing to her. Unfortunately for Steven, however, he will never have time to talk to his wife. Shortly before leaving work, in fact, a psychopathic and deranged former patient of Steven's, a certain Andrew Morton, stops the doctor and, after a brief interview, freezes him with a gunshot leaving him in a pool of blood. Andrew, who disappears and will never be caught by the police despite the arrest warrant issued by Prosecutor Glenn Richards, immediately leaves the office with a dying Steven inside. When Jack, recalled by Ashley worried that her husband has not returned from work, finds the body of the corpse, he is completely shocked. It was his turn, unfortunately, to inform an inconsolable Ashley of the death of her husband, an event that affects the entire city. Victor, in this difficult period for Ashley, spends a lot of time with the woman, trying in vain to console her; this fact, which obviously leads Leanna, to show the first signs of jealousy. When Victor in particular gives Ashley a pendant, leading her to believe that it was a gift from Steven who did not have time to give it to her, Ashley is struck by Victor's generosity and his significant gift, while Leanna, who is equally impressed by Victor's gesture of kindness, begins to realize that she has strong feelings for him.

1988 (#19) - The wedding in Las Vegas between Victor and Leanna
The news of Victor and Nikki's divorce was learned in the press as a great event, a clear consequence of the revelations in Nora's book. The whole press is wondering if a reunification between Victor and Ashley is imminent at this point, which is then stormed by journalists and photographers. Steven is increasingly worried about the pressure of the press on his wife and is very annoyed; to this, of course, is added his fear for a possible new mental collapse of his wife, unable to withstand such strong pressure. To divert attention away from Ashley, Victor decides to make an instinctive gesture, that is, propose to Leanna to marry him. The woman, who in the meantime had the opportunity to get to know and appreciate Victor better, and is about to finish the biography commissioned by the same man, accepts enthusiastically, wondering why he shouldn't do it since Jack, having got what he wanted from her, dumped her without thinking twice. Leanna and Victor, strongly attracted to each other, fly to Las Vegas where they let go themselves, to the unbridled lure of money and... to their mutual love. Before saying yes, however, Leanna warns Victor that she is a virgin and has no intention of changing that. The man, who thus realizes that Leanna has a strong repulsion from birth towards men, to whom she feels attracted but at the same time feels a deep hatred towards them, nevertheless remains firm in his intention to marry the woman. Victor in fact, having only Ashley's well-being and happiness in mind, pronounces his vows without any second thoughts, making his union with the woman official.

1988 (#15) - Ashley's confession to John, Victor's suspicions, the divorce from Nikki
When Leanna's book "Ruthless - The Story of Victor Newman" is published, the whole press goes crazy. The book, published under the false name of Nora Randall, upsets Jack himself, who knew nothing about Ashley's involvement with the man, with its details and revelations. John, horrified by the words of the book, is ready to report the author of the book by suing her, but in the end it is Ashley herself who confesses that much of what is written in the book is true. Victor, literally enraged by the book's revelations, swears to make the author of the book pay, ignoring the fact that it is the same Leanna of whom he is sentimentally interested and to whom he has authorized to write his biography. Confident with Ashley, Victor asks the woman who may have told all the details of their lives, and it is at this juncture that Ashley reveals to the man that he told Nikki about their past. Although Ashley reiterates that he does not believe Nikki could have done this to him, Victor is increasingly convinced that it was the woman who leaked the information. An angry Victor thus confronts a distraught Nikki, accused of publicly ridiculing him. Nikki tries to justify herself, but her every attempt is futile, since Victor announces their divorce and finally manages to get it, ending their long and tormented marriage. Nikki, left alone, appears inconsolable and grieved by the final end of all her hopes of being able to return with Victor.

1988 (#12) - Jack's plan, flirting with Victor and Leanna's hot book
By following Jack's instructions to the letter, and thus beginning her work with the book on Victor, Leanna is able to get to know and get closer to the man. All for Jack's happiness, but she does not suspect that this plan will soon turn against her when Victor himself begins to take an interest in her. Surprisingly, meanwhile, Nikki discovers that she is very happy to be expecting a baby from Victor, which gives her new confidence to be able to reconcile with the man and give her marriage a new opportunity. However, when Victor, increasingly fascinated by Leanna, informs Nikki that he no longer sees any future for them and that he wants to prepare divorce papers, she desperately decides to stay and reveal nothing. In the meantime, Leanna gets closer and closer to the man, who suspects nothing of the woman's double purpose; on the contrary, Lenna is surprised when Victor himself, worried about rumors about the possible release of a book dedicated to him that could make him look bad, asks Leanna herself to write an authorized biography for him that can tell the whole truth, naturally from Victor's point of view. Leanna, shocked and almost amused by the request, gladly accepts this proposal, excited to start working on this project, which we could call parallel. And this is also because it is Leanna herself who begins to have feelings for Victor, which makes her feel increasingly guilty about her initial intentions to discredit him. A desperate Nikki, meanwhile, not suspecting any sympathy for Victor towards Leanna, naively decides to confide in her, whom she considers to be her friend, telling her all the details and the most intimate secrets of her triangle with Victor and Ashley. Leanna, understanding that Nikki's revelations are best-selling material for her book, carefully records Nikki's words and decides to use them, even without Jack's knowledge, in her book, where she adds a chapter entitled "Victor's Forbidden Love"; a love of which, of course, Jack has always been unaware.

1988 (#9) - The unresolved crisis between Nikki and Victor, the mutual dislike with Jack
Determined after his experience of no longer having any kind of relationship with Nikki, Victor seems resigned to live without a woman beside him. Concerned about his emotional state and lovelife , Douglas and Ashley, however, try to make Victor remember all the special and unforgettable moments he shared with Nikki, encouraging him to forgive her. In the end, when even Nikki shows up distraught in front of the man, begging him to overlook all her mistakes and naivety, Victor is willing to forget what happened, which gives Nikki new hope to return with the man she loves and restart their marriage. Victor, however, makes it clear that he cannot compromise and overlook the behavior of Jack, who tried to steal the company from him in such a devious way; at the same time, Jack feels a similar feeling of hatred towards the man, and is ready more than ever to humiliate Victor. In the meantime, Jack carries on his relationship with Leanna, who seems to have overcome her moment of disbandment thanks to Steven's sessions. Between the two, as time goes by, there is more and more great understanding; and when Jack learns that she is an established writer with the stage name of Leanna Love, the man does not take long to convince the woman to pursue his plan against Victor. Leanna thus accepts the proposal to write a biography about Victor; a biography that reveals his selfish and ruthless side and thus succeeds in taking him down.

1988 (#3) - The honeymoon in Hawaii, the break-in of Leanna and the flirt with Jack
A few days after Ashley and Stevens' wedding, the two decide to leave for their honeymoon in Hawaii. Both of them are warmly greeted by everyone, especially Jack who shows much more approval for Ashley's marriage to Steven than for Traci's marriage to Brad, being Jack convinced that Brad only wants their money while, on the contrary, Steven has never insinuated that he wants to leave his profession. Shortly after the two of them left, a woman named Leanna Randolph arrives in town, who introduces herself to Jack as Steven's girlfriend. Jack, quite bewildered and surprised, informs the woman that Steven has just gotten married and is on his honeymoon with Ashley, his sister. Leanna, annoyed and apparently distraught, abruptly says goodbye to Jack, despite the fact that there was immediately a good vibe between the two of them, and leaves for Hawaii in search of her Steven. Leanna, in fact, is a former patient of Steven's, madly in love with him and ready to do anything to get him; even track him down on his honeymoon. Once in Hawaii, Leanna doesn't take long to track down the couple and soon puts her plan into action: kill Ashley! Leanna, thus, posing as a waitress at the resort, unnoticed by Jack, tries to poison the woman, who is promptly admitted to the emergency room. When he receives Jack's phone call informing him of the arrival in town of a strange woman who claims to be his girlfriend, Steven immediately becomes suspicious. Soon, Leanna shows up in front of Steven, who orders her to leave his life immediately. The man then informs Ashley, who in the meantime has recovered, of the woman's presence and explains the situation. The honeymoon goes on smoothly without Leanna ever showing up again; Steven, then, confronts the woman again only when he returns to Genoa City, where he finds out, astonished, that Leanna has meanwhile started dating Jack; Ashley's attempts to persuade her brother to go out with her were useless, since Jack reassures her that there is nothing binding between them. Steven finally reassures his wife by telling her that he will resume his sessions with her immediately, as it is clear that she still needs psychiatric treatment.
