Jill's revelations about the identity of her lover make John thoughtful. Recalling the early days when he met Jill and the trip he canceled because of a kiss with Jack, John's doubts that the two of them, always in close contact in their work at Jabot, may have really betrayed him. John refuses to believe that his son was capable of such a gesture, but when Jill informs him that she has scheduled a press conference the very day after the trial, John realizes that he is being blackmailed: if he had shown the photos in court, Jill would have revealed to the world the following day that she had betrayed John with his son. John asks for time, but Jill seems adamant. On the day of the press conference, all the reporters are excited and intrigued about the statements Jill has to make, and one film producer, Ron Mc Fall, even offers Jill a film about her life. In the end, however, Jill agrees to postpone the hearing by two days, moving the press conference ahead of the hearing before the judge. Meanwhile, John informs Katherine of what Jill and initially the woman told him, for the good she feels about John. She absolutely denies that the man in the photos is her son Jack. John, however, notices a certain upset of Katherine, from which he eventually manages to get the name of the author of the photos out: Lindsey. Contacted by John, Lindsey also shows herself to be rather vague, however, increasing John's suspicions even more, who realizes, watching Jack's naked body while he sleeps, that his wife has betrayed him. Completely shocked, disappointed and embittered, John tries to contact Jill and fails to do so; however, the woman, now convinced to reveal the truth about her lover to everyone, is joined during the press conference by John, who interrupts the interview just before Jill can reveal the truth and the spicy details about her divorce. John admits that the woman is right and thus asks not to reveal this embarrassing truth to anyone, which would hurt him too much; John then announces that he will accept any request from Jill, humbly admitting defeat before the woman's satisfied eyes. The following day, at the first divorce hearing, Katherine is stopped by John just before going to testify, with the man who explains to her that he wants to save the face of his family and to prevent Jill from revealing the truth to everyone; then it is Lindsey's turn, who testifies in John's favor without mentioning anything about the photos and about a betrayal of Jill, who observes the scene satisfied. At the end of her deposition, Lindsey is thanked by John, informed by the woman of her wish to leave Genoa City to go to New York.

1986 (#7) - Jill's press conference and the divorce hearing with John
Jill's revelations about the identity of her lover make John thoughtful. Recalling the early days when he met Jill and the trip he canceled because of a kiss with Jack, John's doubts that the two of them, always in close contact in their work at Jabot, may have really betrayed him. 1985 (#10) - Jill's lies about the jewelry’s robbery, the kiss between John and Lindsey
Yet another failed attempt by Jill to stop Katherine has, unfortunately for the woman, repercussions that risk creating serious problems for her marriage. Soon, in fact, Mamie realizes that Jill no longer owns the jewels that John had given him, and immediately warns the man; the jewels that Jill had given in pledge to get the money to bribe Esther. Jill, pretending to know nothing about it, shows herself frightened in John's eyes, claiming to be sure that she has been stolen, despite the fact that Mamie is doubtful about the woman's provided version. This excuse, however, puts Jill in even more difficulty, since John, at Mamie's suggestion, immediately contacts Carl to investigate the case and to find the loot. Jill, alarmed again by the inconvenient presence of the policeman, can only pretend to have lost the jewels making John find them directly inside a travel package. John, with a great sigh of relief for Jill, falls into the trap of the girl and is convinced that the jewels had been packed during their recent vacation. In fact, Carl warns John several times about Jill's strange behavior in recent times, and the man promises to keep an eye on her. But John's guilty attitude soon turns on the defensive when he becomes the person who has to make it up to her. One night, in fact, while John is alone at Gina's restaurant, he runs into a distraught Lindsey, who confesses that she is sad because it is the anniversary of her father's death. Thus begins an open and sincere evening spent talking between them, something that both of them need to vent and feel better. At the end of the evening, Lindsey greets John with a loving kiss right under Jill's eyes as she enters the club. Jill asks John for explanations, who immediately apologizes, showing his regrets for that little betrayal; the episode, however, does nothing but make Jill happy, who, showing herself ready to forgive John, in this way gains the trust of her husband, who suspects absolutely nothing about what happened between her and Jack.

1985 (#6) - Jill's pleas and Brock's attention to Katherine's sobriety
With the news that Katherine is now aware of everything and owns the entire set of pictures of them, Jack and Jill react very differently. Jack is quite calm and relieved, since he is convinced that Katherine could never reveal the truth, being a dear friend of John's who certainly won't want to hurt him with this painful revelation. Jill, however, is not at all so optimistic, knowing Katherine's hatred of him. Determined to prevent Katherine from ruining his life and John's, Jill immediately rushes to beg the woman not to reveal any of this, as this would destroy John. Jill is very understanding and friendly with Katherine, even asking her to bury the war axe between the two of them forever. Despite this attitude, however, Katherine knows very well that Jill has no intention of becoming her friend, and that she is only doing so to achieve her goals. Katherine, therefore, chases the woman out of the house, without letting him know her intentions about whether or not she wants to show the photos to John. Irritated, Jill returns to Katherine several times under the pretense of convincing and persuading her, when in reality it turns out to be just an attempt to put Katherine back into the alcohol tunnel by making sure that the woman continually finds the bottles of alcohol that Jill smuggles into the house. Jill's attempt to put Katherine back in the booze tunnel, however, is always thwarted by Esther Valentine, Katherine's maid, and Brock, who, while suspecting nothing of what is happening, are always very careful not to let the woman near the booze.

1985 (#4) - Jack and Carol's plan and the fake marriage to Lindsey
As time goes by, Jill becomes more and more concerned about the photo situation, and feels that her marriage to John is in great danger. Jack, however, reassures her that everything is going to be fine and that he is keeping the situation perfectly under control. This is not really the case, as Lindsey is becoming increasingly hungry for success and money. Lindsey, in fact, asks Jill for $150,000 to get the photos, but Jack finds the proposal ridiculous and makes sure she turns it down. Lindsey doesn't give up, so she starts insisting that Jack remove Carol from the role of first model to make room for her. Jill asks Jack to do as Lindsey asks, however, the man doesn't want to rude to her friend and tries to stall Lindsey, but she shows less and less patience. While Jack and Carol discuss the situation, they suddenly come up with a plan that could put Lindsey out of business. The plan is for Jack to start showing an interest in Lindsey to the point where he takes her to the altar and convinces her to destroy all the negatives of the photos. Although jill is skeptical of the plan's success,in the end, unable to do anything else, she consents to its implementation. Lindsey seems unexpectedly surprised by Jack's sudden interest, nor does she seem to suspect anything. Jack,on the other hand, shows such sincere love for her that john believes his feelings are truly sincere. Jack, much to the woman's surprise, soon proposes to Lindsey to get married, something which entices Lindsey, having as a prospect a charming husband and a rich fortune to manage; and so, as soon as the girl accepts enthusiastically, Jack organizes with the help of Carol and Jill a ceremony with great speed. Lindsey, apparently suspecting nothing, marries Jack in a ceremony that in reality has no legal value. Jack and Lindsey thus spend their first and only wedding night. In the morning, as planned, while Lindsey is still asleep Jack takes all the negatives of the photos that Lindsey is in possession of and leaves, leaving the woman a note revealing the whole truth and greeting her with a "thank you for the negative memories". To the delight of Jack, Carol and Jill, the plan seems to have worked perfectly; but their happiness suddenly stops when Lindsey herself sends them a new envelope full of compromising negatives, suggesting that she has many more copies and photographs. Lindsey also explains to Jack and Jill, to the great terror of the latter, that she sold the photos to Katherine for the same amount offered to them, namely $150,000: it is now Katherine's turn to hold the Abbott family!

1985 (#1) - Skip and Carol's engagement, the plans with Jack and Diane's divorce
While Lindsey could threaten at any moment to destroy the entire Abbott family, and in particular the reputation of Jill and Jack, if she showed and made public the photos of them together, Jack finds Carol a great friend and confidant. Abbott's model, in fact, always dispenses a lot of advice to the man who, as a good womanizer, makes his duty by wooing the beautiful girl. Jack, however, is disappointed when she reveals to him that she is not interested in a relationship, having recently become engaged to photographer Skip, the very guy that Jack wanted to hire instead of Joe. Jack, then, puts on a good face, wishing the couple all the happiness, and deciding to remain friends with the two of them. But Carol, of course, remains an exception and very few women can resist Jack's charm. An example of this is Diane, who, despite being happily married to Andy, feels that he lacks that passion and a touch of madness that only Jack has. Jack and Diane soon find themselves very close to each other, even though part of Diane feels guilty about betraying Andy. Diane then realizes she has to be honest with her husband and begins to think about divorce, as Andy begins to suspect that she and Jack might have something going on. The straw is dropped when the woman inadvertently overhears Jack talking about a gift for her. This one, convinced it's an engagement ring, admits all her feelings for Jack to Andy and immediately divorces him. Andy bitterly accepts the end of her marriage, leaving Diane free to pursue her one true love. In the meantime, Lindsey returns to show up at Jack's, reminding him of his pact of success and fame in exchange for the photos. Jill, while agreeing not to deprive herself of good and classy models like Christine and Carol, warns Jack that an affair with Diane could complicate things quite a bit. Jack, for once, listen to Jill. And so Diane, full of expectations and joy for the gift, is deeply disappointed when Jack gives her a simple friendship bracelet. The gift, Jack explained, is a simple way of saying that he is currently unable to commit to any woman. Disappointed and humiliated, and feeling completely foolish to have misinterpreted her entire relationship with Jack, Diane realizes that she has deluded herself unnecessarily, and has thrown away a marriage with someone who really loved her. Filled with a grudge against herself, even before Jack, Diane decides to leave Genoa City and leave for Europe to start a new life.

1984 (#30) - Threats to Jack and Lindsey's promotion
An increasingly impatient Lindsey threatens to show the incriminating photos to John if Jack breaks his promises to get her into Jabot and into more and more important roles. Following the prospect of sending one photo a day to John, Jack eventually gets the woman to participate in an advertising job at Jabot; a job that obviously does not satisfy her. Meanwhile, first the unexpected and surprising promotion of Lindsey as head of advertising, and then news of the discovery of her apartment completely upside down, where there are obvious clues that lead to think that this is not the work of thieves, but of someone who had searched everywhere looking for something, lead Carl to reflect on what is happening. It was clear, at this point, that Lindsey was somehow connected to the matter, and that she had been promoted by Jack, so that she wouldn't reveal the truth. Carl begins to interrogate Jill and this one, cornered by the questions, pretends to burst into tears by sobbing into the arms of her husband, so that he asks Carl to stop his investigation. But nothing seemed to be able to stop Carl from reaching the truth, as he began to reconstruct the events of the night of the betrayal and he asks more and more insistently why Lindsey is climbing the corporate pyramid so quickly.

1984 (#28) - John's complaint and Carl and Jazz's investigation
Mamie, suspicious of the mysterious envelopes arriving with Mrs. Jill Abbott, informs John worried about this strange circumstance, alarmed also by Jack's reaction towards the stranger, convinced that the man's wife is plotting or hiding something. When John asks his wife in this way, Jill explains that the envelopes contain obscene letters in anonymous form, probably sent by some madman who persecutes them in search of money; it is precisely for this reason that Jack, Jill explains, had that violent reaction towards the man. John, then, decides to see us more clearly and calls the police to report what happened. It's Carl, back on police duty after leaving his job as a security guard at Abbott following Jack and Patty's divorce, who takes over the case and starts investigating who might be the sender of the obscene letters. Carl obviously doesn't like Jill or the hated Jack, which is why he decides not to rule out any leads. At the same time, an increasingly worried Jack contacts Jazz to get the negatives of the photos Lindsey owns as soon as possible; however, without success. As time goes by, Carl becomes more and more suspicious of Jack and Jill's strange behavior, suspecting that they are hiding something really bad from John. mercoledì 24 dicembre 2014
1984 (#24) - The flirt between Jill and Mar and the Lindsey's pictures with Jack
John and Jill's married life is goes ahead tired. Jill, while still having feelings for John, realizes that she no longer feels attracted to him and for a short time she starts dating Marc Mergeron, with whom she gives vent to all her passion. When Christine hands Jack a large grey envelope, which someone in the Jabot car park asked her to deliver, the man cannot suspect what it contains. At the same time, at John's house, Mamie finds a mysterious identical envelope on the wrought iron fence addressed to Jill. Each of the two envelopes contains the exact same photo. The next day, Jill and Jack receive another photo respectively, as well as the next one until the final one that finally reveals Jack and Jill's faces in explicit photos on their night of passion a few months earlier. It is clear to the two then that someone has photographed them and they are about to be blackmailed. Both upset, Jack and Jill immediately realize they have reason to be very worried. Jack's attempt to attack the man who handed him the last envelope to try to find out who sent the photos was useless. Jill, completely frightened, decides to break off all relations with Marc; moreover, she suspects that the hated enemy Katherine could be behind the whole thing. But when, having decided to confront her, she realizes that Katherine knows nothing about the whole thing, Jill breathes a sigh of relief, while admitting to be wandering in the dark. At the same time, Katherine senses that something is upsetting Jill, and promises to keep her eyes and ears open. A few days later, Jack receives an album of eight photos of him and Jill from the same night, with a note that literally says, "You'll hear from me tomorrow. The next day, John introduces Lindsey Wells to Jack as the daughter of an old friend who has returned to work for them. After the meeting, taking Jack aside, Lindsey presents herself as the one who holds him and Jill in check, having her take pictures of them making love. At this point, Lindsey reminds a confused Jack that they met at a college party and couldn't forgive him after he ruined her life by leaving her just after she asked him to show her his love. Of course, Lindsey doesn't expect Jack to remember her at all, having been that insignificant experience for the boy. Now ,however, Lindsey intends to make him pay for it, expecting,in exchange for her silence, a quick and swift climb into the executive of Jabot.

1983 (#28) - The engagement of Andy and Diane and the passion between Jack and Jill
Single after his divorce from Patty, Jack has meanwhile had to face numerous challenges, such as rehabilitating his legs following Patty's injury, the heart attack he suffered from his father John, and most recently the discovery of the identity of his mother Dina, the mother he never met, behind the powerful Mergeron Corporation insignia during the company's sales negotiation. These were situations that severely affected the spirit and energy of the boy, who began to feel the need to have someone at his side. And when Jack once again turns his attentions to Diane, telling her he loves her and proposing a trip to Greece, which however rejects all his attempts at approach, Jack's self-esteem seems to collapse. Diane declares herself sick of Jack's little games and his broken promises, informing him that she is engaged to a real man who really cares about her like Andy. In the same situation seems to be Jill, who in the same way has had to face the same hardships in the role of John's wife, opposed by the heavy presence of Mamie, who would do anything to kick her out of the Abbott house. Jack and Jill, who since the episode of John's heart attack have promised to lay down their arms to each other, already having enough enemies to face, thus find themselves in the company of each other to gain courage. Feeling threatened by Dina, who in the meantime makes it increasingly clear that she is willing to win back John's heart, Jill tells the woman that she is pregnant with John in order to block any attempt to get close to her ex-husband. But it was a lie Jill didn't think he could turn against her. And so, when Dina asks about John's pregnancy, Jill panicked, feeling the man's astonishment at Dina's words, ran away, frightened by the repercussions of her own words. Blocked by a blizzard, Jill asks Jack for help and once he arrives, he takes refuge with the woman in a bungalow where, destined to spend the night together in the cold, they hold each other in each other's arms and end up being overcome by passion. What Jack and Jill cannot imagine is that at the window there is a stranger named Lindsey Wells taking pictures of their night of love.
