1991 (#3) - Carl's disappearance, Paul's search and Mary's despair
Putting aside the dramatic and tumultuous events caused by Adrian and Cassandra, there is no peace for the Williams family. The serenity they've finally found is in fact shattered suddenly and without warning, when Carl doesn't return from an ordinary shift in the police force. The first to worry is obviously Mary, who immediately warns her son that his father has not returned for dinner; initially convinced that his father is involved in a job under protection and secrecy, Paul tries to get in touch with the senior police officers of Genoa City to get hold of reassuring information. However, Paul is baffled when they deny that Carl is engaged in classified investigations. Mary, always a very apprehensive woman, immediately fears the worst and despairs, continually turning her prayers to God that she may see her husband again. On the other hand, a frustrated Paul continues to beat any trail that might connect him to his father, to no avail. As the days go by, Mary is surrounded by the affection of all her loved ones and friends, who cling to her in grief and in the hope of seeing Carl again. Even Patty and Steven return for a short time to Genoa City to support their mother and give her comfort; and in this sense, Mary is happy to be able to re-embrace after so many years her other son, Father Todd, who has returned from his missions around the world to pray with his mother. In spite of all this, however, there is no more news of Carl and with the passing of the months the hope of seeing him alive again fades.

1985 (#9) - The fight with Patty, Traci's abortion and the divorce with Danny
Despite all Danny's best intentions, his marriage to Traci can't go ahead. The rock star's feelings for Patty have not disappeared and Patty herself wonders why the two had to sacrifice so much to raise the unborn child in a loveless family. Traci, however, is convinced that sooner or later love will break out between him and Danny, confident that the man will soon open his heart to her and start to feel the same feelings she feels towards him. This reciprocity of feelings, however, despite all Danny's good will, can not get out, so that Danny can neither forget nor stay away from Patty. Patty is happy to hear Danny say that he will return to her as soon as the baby is born. The tension over this situation causes constant arguments between Patty and Traci, with the first accusing Traci of stealing her life with Danny, and the second accusing Patty of trying to insinuate herself into her marriage. And it is during one of these encounters, in which the two women accuse each other, that Traci accidentally falls down the stairs and falls unconscious after Patty has thrown reality in his face, which is that Danny is ready to go back with her as soon as the baby is born. Taken immediately to the hospital by a desperate Patty, the doctors immediately inform the doctors that Traci is not in danger of death but that there was unfortunately nothing to be done for the baby. Traci is desperate for the loss of the baby and is not at peace, while Danny is literally furious with Patty who tries to justify herself by saying it was an accidental misfortune. Patty, however, is unable to convince Danny or herself: and feeling guilty, she decides to leave town to forget both Danny and what happened, despite her mother Mary vainly trying to hold her back. So Danny tries to spend a lot of time with an inconsolable Traci, but she refuses the help of anyone, including her family, especially Ashley and John. Falling into depression, only time will get her through this sad moment; in the meantime, Traci wants to close every trace of this dark chapter, so she decides to end her marriage to Danny herself.

1985 (#5) - The celebration of the marriage between Paul and Lauren
The tensions in the Williams family over the relationship between Paul and Lauren, which is particularly hindered by Mary, grow considerably when the boy asks the woman to marry. The announcement of the upcoming wedding leaves everyone shocked and speechless; however, Paul immediately makes it clear that, approval or not, the marriage will take place, as this is his and his future wife Lauren's will. And although Mary, supported by Patty, asks her son to reflect on this step or at least the time to do things more calmly, as always Paul is intransigent and asks his mother, once and for all, to accept his decisions in life, being now an adult. Resigned to see her children grown up and independent, Mary is so forced to accept Paul's decision, and after long hesitations, she gives her approval to this new union. Not even two weeks later, Mary herself, accompanied by Carl, pays tribute to the new couple, who, in front of many people present, including Lauren's father, Neil Fenmore, celebrate their wedding with great happiness. Paul and Lauren's dream of forming a family is thus crowned and the two, more in love than ever, leave for California for a romantic honeymoon, not before receiving congratulations from most of the inhabitants of Genoa City!

1984 (#32) - Paul and Lauren's relationship, which Mary opposed
As the weeks went by, what seemed like a simple affair between Paul and Lauren soon became an important story. Let's obviously talk about the relationship between Lauren and Paul, which began as a simple friendship given Lauren's problems with Danny, and ended in true love. Lauren, realizing that Danny is too different from her, is in fact completely taken by the more mature and charming Paul, with whom she shares a strong character and wild nature. However, the relationship is strongly opposed by Paul's family, especially Mary, who sees Lauren as a girl with no principles or healthy values. In the same way, Patty certainly doesn't love Lauren, her former rival for Danny's love and revealed, in the end, the one who betrayed Danny for Paul. In short, the two boys had to fight hard to be accepted, having as their only ally Carl, who knowing that Lauren comes from a wealthy family is happy that Paul can settle down financially.

1984 (#29) - Danny's commitment, the breakup with Patty and his marriage to Traci
The news of Traci's pregnancy certainly doesn't leave Danny indifferent, who often visits the woman for company. Danny realizes that it must not be easy for Traci to face a pregnancy alone with the prospect that the baby she is carrying will not have a father. And Traci herself thanks the man, confessing that she believes he would be the ideal father for her child. The rapprochement between Danny and Traci certainly does not please Patty, who asks the boy to be clear in his intentions; initially Danny confirms that he wants to be with her, but later Patty herself understands how Danny does not want to abandon Traci to his fate. In a grand gesture of love and sacrifice, Patty then allows Danny to consider himself free, confessing to him that she doesn't want to keep him imprisoned in a relationship she doesn't want after a long time in which she has never chosen him as her priority. Danny then thanks the woman and believes that perhaps it is fate that they are not together, even though there is a sincere feeling between them. Danny then runs to Traci to inform her that he broke up with Patty just to be with her and her baby. Danny says he's ready to start a family and wants nothing more than the well-being of the woman and the creature in her womb. Before Traci's big belly can start growing, Danny plans the wedding with the woman. The two then exchange vows under the eyes of a moved Gina and a whole family, formed by Ashley, Jack, John, Jill and Dina, who gather around the sweetest and most happy Traci.

1984 (#22) - The rapprochement between Patty and Danny and the fights with Lauren

1983 (#26) - Sharon's plan, Patty's memories and the divorce with Jack
Jack, meanwhile, struggles daily to regain use of his legs; and from his strong commitment to rehabilitation, doctors are happy to turn their initial pessimism into clear optimism about Jack's ability to overcome it. Throughout this time, John is very close to his son, but particularly there is Jill, who rediscovers that she has an understanding with the boy. So the two of them decide to put their differences behind them once and for all. As time goes by, Jack gets better and better, while Patty keeps on not remembering anything and behaving, moreover, in a very strange way, showing herself affectionate and caring as never before for her husband. Patty's attentions almost frighten Jack, who decides to consult her psychologist Sharon Reaves for an opinion on her behavior; and when he believes that the woman's brain instinctively repressed the memories of the shooting to force herself to love Jack at all costs, both agree that Patty needs to come to terms with reality. So they plot a strategy so that Patty can remember what happened, and decide to evoke in the full the scenario of Jack's injury by completely and perfectly reconstructing the scene. The moment Patty is about to shoot Jack again, naturally with an empty gun, Patty suddenly remembers everything and undergoes a mental breakdown. Passed out, she is soon reanimated and Patty becomes aware of what she did. Carl and Mary agree to take Patty back to their home and not let Patty see Jack for a while. The time spent with the family is very helpful for Patty to recover her energy and will to live. After a few months, she decides to close that chapter of her life forever by handing Jack the divorce papers, which the man signs without too many regrets.

1983 (#18) - Joe's confession, Patty's acquittal and Jack and Carol's friendship
While everyone is praying for John's life, who is slowly beginning to respond to the stimuli following his heart attack, Ashley and Jack are furiously fighting over the responsibility of the man in the heart attack. Jack, frustrated, complains about his condition, forced to stay in a wheelchair, showing clear signs of depression. Meanwhile, Carl is getting closer and closer to the truth when he receives a call from a Jabot photographer, Joe Blair, who tells him he has to make a confession about Jack's injury. Joe thus confesses to a shocked and incredulous Carl that the real culprit is not Jill as he suspects, but his own daughter Patty. Carl, then, immediately understands what happened, not being able to believe that his daughter could have done all this, despite Jack's betrayals with Diane as a motive. The one who suffers most from this news is Mary, who realizes, however, that the shock she had from Patty has completely erased her memory. When Frank then grants a diagnosis on Patty's psychological condition, the coroner confirms that the woman was mentally incapacitated at the time of the event and is in fact absolved. All without Patty knowing anything about what happened, believing this to be the best thing. Jack, meanwhile, having heard the news of Patty's liability, walks away from his wife, even though she doesn't understand why. So Jack befriends Carol Robbins, a Jabot employee who, like Jack, is forced into a wheelchair. Carol tells her moving story to Jack, informing him that she was born with an irreversible problem with her legs that have kept her all her life in a wheelchair; but not for this reason, Carol feels inferior or depressed, on the contrary she shows Jack how it is possible to live a very normal life even without standing. Jack likes the woman, who appoints her as his personal secretary, and at the same time understands how he cannot be angry with his wife, who he decides to forgive as she is indispensable for his recovery.

1983 (#14) - Jack's rehabilitation, Ashley's presidency and the investigation into Tom
At the hospital, Jack's still struggling to get better as fast as he can. The risk that his legs may no longer move is a real one and so he constantly undergoes long sessions of physiotherapy and rehabilitation to recover immediately. Meanwhile, John decides to temporarily entrust the presidency to Ashley, which leads Jack to work even harder to recover and regain his rightful place. Carl, meanwhile, is commissioned by John to investigate who may have shot Jack; neither Carl nor Patty remembers what happened. Initially, Carl's suspicions all point to Diane and Jill, although the investigation leads nowhere. Ashley, meanwhile, begins to take more and more power within the company, something that worries Jack, which pushes the doctors to return to work as soon as possible, not wanting to risk being overtaken by his sister in the company hierarchy. Carl's investigations, meanwhile, finally find a breakthrough when he manages to locate the gun from the shooting. This, in fact, was found in the possession of Tom Lamb, a criminal arrested for robbery. Initially investigated for Jack's wounding, Tom is soon recognized as a stranger to the facts and, to the police, confesses to Frank and Carl that he took the gun from a blonde girl, who evidently wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible. Carl's suspicions, therefore, lead to the exclusion of Diane and to focus mainly on Jill, ignoring that the real responsibility falls instead on his own daughter.

1983 (#13) - Frank's awakening, Cindy's testimony and Tony's absconding
Despite the entire gang being wiped out, Paul and Carl are very worried about Tony's escape, convinced that the man may return at any moment to take revenge. In agreement with Cindy, they decide to hide the woman in a convent for some time. Meanwhile, just before the trial, positive news comes from the hospital, where Dr. Edgeworth reports that Frank has come out of his coma and seems to be out of danger. Paul immediately visits the man, informing him of the latest developments and how the investigation has been successful. It is also a chance for Carl to see the man again, who advises him to be proud of his son's tenacity. With the start of the trial, Frank manages to draw up a report on the whole matter, helped by Paul and Andy to rebuild the entire mafia system put in place by Pete and Tony. Cindy, after leaving the convent, also gives her testimony, which is ultimately useful to condemn all members of the gang and bring them to justice. Thus ends a real nightmare for Cindy, Paul and Carl that lasted for months and months. Carl's suspension is annulled and the man is immediately reinstated in the police, happy to return to his usual job after his experience as a security guard at Jabot. Everyone is happy with how things have finally settled down, despite the disturbing shadow of Tony's escape.

1983 (#10) - Jack's revelations to Jill and Patty's violent reaction to them
After the miscarriage immediately, Patty is released from the hospital and goes home to Jack with the firm intention of starting a new phase of her marriage. So Patty decides, despite Jack's perplexity that he doesn't consider it necessary since he now understands how the woman is important to him and what his marriage represents, to start dating an analyst. The goal is to make up for all the misunderstandings and mistakes of the past, to put everything behind him and open up to the future with new joy and enthusiasm. As time goes by, everything seems to be going well and the woman seems to be able to regain her husband's smile and love. On the day of her first wedding anniversary, a milestone also celebrated by Mary and Carl who finally decide to stop fighting with Jack, Patty confides to her husband that she wants to have a baby and to be ready for a new pregnancy. Patty thinks nothing can go wrong with her relationship with Jack at this point. However, one morning Patty's world collapses irretrievably when she overhears her husband on the phone making an appointment for a vasectomy that would make him infertile and, immediately afterwards, confiding to Jill that she only married Patty to get her wedding gift from her father, the presidency of Jabot. Patty is shocked and incredulous to hear her husband's words. Suddenly, all of Patty's hopes, certainty, and beliefs fade into thin air, destroyed by her husband's few words. Blinded by anger and unable to reflect on her actions, a hysterical Patty, completely in shock, confronts Jack in a furious argument. And when Jack tries to explain his reasons in the office, the woman pulls out a small-caliber gun she has bought and shoots her husband three times. The man, caught with two shots to the legs, is immediately taken to the hospital by Jill and John, who can't believe who might have shot Jack. Fortunately, Jack is out of danger, although the doctors are doubtful that he will be able to walk again.

1983 (#6) - Tracy's crush on Danny and the singer's feelings for Patty
The news of Patty's abortion shocked Danny, who was deeply sorry for the woman's misadventures. Danny can't hide the fact that he still has feelings for the woman and, although she left him preferring Jack, he can only promise her that he will always do everything for her. During her convalescence period in the hospital, Danny often visits and keeps company with Patty, who thanks him several times. Carl and Mary have no choice but to observe Danny's love for their daughter, admitting that he would be the ideal husband for Patty, but she still loves Jack and believes that he has understood the lesson, convinced that from that moment things will change. Carl, however, is not very confident about it, not hiding his hope that Patty might decide to get back with Danny, who in the meantime, realizing that it was Jack who reduced Patty in that condition, promises to make him pay for it. But if Danny suffers from love for a woman who doesn't love him, in the same way he involuntarily hurts Traci, who is more and more taken with the man, of whom he has a clear infatuation. Between Danny and Traci, in fact, a consolidated artistic collaboration was born and thanks to the couple the group is enjoying increasing success. However, Danny ignores any attempt of the girl to start a sentimental approach with Traci, which leads Traci to a situation of depression caused also by the fact that she doesn't like herself because of her overweight.

1983 (#5) - Carl's anger and Patty's abortion
Discovering Jack's cheating is Jill, who surprises him and Diane without him noticing. Patty, meanwhile, informs Jill, with whom she wants to be friends, of her pregnancy, and announces that she wants to inform Jack of the news immediately; and sneakily, Jill, happy to seize the opportunity to get in Jack's way, who has so much obstructed her marriage, encourages Patty to join Jack in the office that very night, well aware that at that moment the man is with Diane. Patty's shock at seeing Diane undressing her husband leads her to run away in tears upset and stumble over a vase in the hallway under the perplexed eyes of Carl, working at the company, who doesn't have time to help her. Only minutes later, when he sees Diane coming out of Jack's office, Carl understands what his daughter must have seen; and angry, he promises to make Jack pay the man. Later, when the man returns home, a desperate Patty tries to tell her husband to carry her child, but the visibly drunk man ignores his wife's words and, claiming to be tired from work, goes to sleep. The next day, as Patty receives a visit from Ashley, she begins to experience severe abdominal pain, most likely associated with the fall the day before. It is to Ashley, aware of the pregnancy, that she fully understands the situation and calls for help. Upon arriving at the hospital, Jack immediately asks for information about his wife, and when the nurse says that they are doing everything possible to save the baby, Jack appears incredulous and only now, stunned, understands what his wife was trying to tell him the night before. Despite the doctors' efforts, Patty is sadly forced to lose the baby. When a mortified Jack enters Patty's room and asks why she hadn't told him before, she admits she saw him with Diane. Jack thus realizes that he has hurt his wife and asks her for forgiveness, promising that from that moment on she will be the only one at the center of his thoughts. Patty, despite everything still in love with Jack, decides to forgive him, despite Carl is increasingly angry with the man.

1983 (#3) - Jack's affair with Diane and Patty's pregnancy
Jack and Patty's marriage, between ups and downs, still seems to be going well. The woman seems to have overcome the difficult moment in which she felt neglected by her husband, busy interfering with her father's relationship with Jill, and certainly Jack's decision to hire his father Carl as a security guard had reassured her about the possibility that her family would sooner or later accept her marriage. To Patty's surprise and joy, she also soon discovered she was pregnant. The first to be informed of the news is Mary, who participates in the joy of her daughter and promises her that for the moment she would not inform Carl of the pregnancy, since Patty would like to tell Jack first; she was just waiting for the right time. Jack, meanwhile, is under increasing pressure from the demands of the provocative Diane, always determined to take advantage of her secret about Jack's prenup night to get financial benefits. Jack, on top of that, is attracted to the woman, and begins to have a clandestine relationship with her, with whom he often meets in the office to have sex. giovedì 25 settembre 2014
1982 (#25) - Jill and John's marriage, Patty's unhappiness and Carl's hiring
All of Jack's attempts to get John away from Jill fails , the last obstacle that can now divide the two is Liz's strong doubt about Jill's choice. Liz has already lived through her daughter's mistakes in wanting at all costs to seek love in men who are rich and much more mature than her, so she asks Jill to reconsider her choice, even in retrospect of her past unfortunate events. Jill, however, is more convinced than ever that her relationship with John is indestructible and Liz has no choice but to accept and support her daughter's relationship. Liz, realizing how much Jill is in love with the man, also accepts her daughter's request to be the godmother at her wedding. Thus comes the wedding day between an excited Jill and an enthusiastic John. Under the angry eyes of Jack and two happy Ashley and Traci, John proclaims his wedding vows to Jill, who thus fulfills her dream of becoming John Abbott's wife. Returning from their honeymoon, John and Jill are first and foremost Jack, who shows that he has put aside all his doubts about the marriage, welcoming the newlyweds with open arms. Actually, Jack still can't stand the wedding, but he's convinced that it's only a matter of time before his father opens his eyes and realizes he's made a huge mistake. In the meantime, however, Jack does not realize that his attentions to his wife have been put aside Patty, in fact, feels neglected and suffers a lot from Jack's decision not to hire her as a model, as well as having to live with John and Jill instead of in a house of their own. In fact, Jack intends to control Jill's moves in person, forgetting about Patty who is beginning to realize that she probably made a mistake in marrying Jack, who also doesn't want to hear about children, which Patty would like instead. To make it up to her, Jack decides to hire Patty's father, Carl, as a security guard, since he was out of work after his suspension.

1982 (#18) - Jack's chairmanship at Jabot Cosmetics and Diane's requests
Following Jack's marriage, John as promised is ready to leave his son the position of president of Jabot Cosmetics. Ashley, however, despite not revealing Jack's betrayal to his father the night before the wedding, sends a warning to his father to try to desist from the decision. An angry John, however, silences his daughter, convinced that it's just an outburst of jealousy, and thus formalizes the decision in front of an enthusiastic Jack. The first problems of Jack's new assignment, however, were coming. In fact Diane shows up in front of Jack, she turns out to be much smarter and ambitious than Jack could ever suspect. This, in fact, immediately puts Jack under blackmail as she threatens to reveal the whole truth if she doesn't get a job as a model. Jack is thus forced to mediate between Diane's demands and the expectations of his young wife, who dreams of a modeling job at Jabot. To complicate things there is also Ashley herself who is very annoyed by Diane's presence in the company and proposes instead to her father to replace the role of Chris, who left with Snapper in London, with Julia. John agrees to take on Julia, a decision he had already made in the past and it puts Jack in serious trouble. So he decides to take on Diane for the summer campaign, who promises to keep the secret, and also Julia after her success in promoting perfumes, immediately triggering Ashley's protests, but silenced by her father, confident in his son's decisions. Then Patty herself is disappointed, convinced, even though she is reluctant to put aside for now her dream of working at Jabot to dedicate herself to the house and her marriage. It's clear, however, how Jack finds himself immediately in difficulty in managing such an important position.

1982 (#16) - The betrayal with Diane and Jack and Patty's marriage
The night before the wedding with Patty, Jack goes with some friends to celebrate the bachelor party but, having drunk too much, he ends up in bed with a Jabot model, Diane Jenkins. The next morning, waking up drunk, Jack is convinced that no one will ever know about his stunt; however, he hasn't calculated that Ashley can get into the room. When the woman then sees Diane sleeping naked in her brother's bed, Ashley immediately understands what happened. Suddenly, she throws Jack in the shower so he can get prepared for his wedding and chases Diane out of the room hoping not to see her ever again. An angry Ashley, then, accuses her older brother of being a loser, a bastard and insensitive, and then tells him to marry Patty as if nothing had happened, because the prestige of the family couldn't afford a canceled marriage and not wanting to destroy Patty's dreams. Ashley, however, warns Jack not to hurt his future wife, otherwise she would have revealed the whole truth and made Jack get kicked out of the company. Meeting at the altar in the middle of the joy of everyone and the anxiety of both Jack and Ashley for what happened, Jack then marries a dreamy and unsuspecting Patty, very happy also for the presence at the ceremony of his parents, who, while opposing the decision of their daughter, wanted to show their support and love.

1982 (#15) - The Abbotts' warm welcome and Mary's firm opposition
At the Abbott house, preparations are now in full swing for Jack and Patty's upcoming wedding. John is proud of his son, and for the occasion decides to reunite the whole family by calling the two younger daughters, Ashley and Traci. Ashley, recently graduated from Colorado State University, is ready to stay in town to start working in the family business and one day take over as Jack is about to do now, while Traci, the youngest, is about to attend college. Both Jack and Ashley and Traci have had a strict family background and have all been influenced by John. Jack, a Harvard graduate, only broke away from his father's principles in recent years once he achieved economic independence. Much closer and similar to his father is Ashley, who promises to become a woman of integrity, while Traci, the youngest, seems to hide a rebellious soul under a sharp and intelligent mind. John is delighted to have all his children back together to celebrate the wedding of his eldest son Jack: it's a very important moment for the family. Patty, meanwhile, is over the moon and wants nothing more than to become quickly integrated into her new family. So when Jack proposes to Ashley to be her maid of honour, Patty, who has received a strong contrast from Carl and Mary about her relationship with Jack, decides to ask Jack's other sister, Traci to be her maid of honour. Patty, in fact, is not even sure of her family's participation in the wedding given their strong opposition to the wedding, but she is happy to see that among the Abbott family everyone loves her.

1982 (#11) - The agreement for the presidency with John and Jack's proposal to Patty
Jack's not happy about his father's return to Genoa City. In fact, he immediately demands that his son change his lifestyle and start dressing and behaving appropriately, moving away from the lifestyle that is unsuitable for an Abbott. Jack, however, has absolutely no intention of following his father's advice and continues to enjoy himself and live in the luxury and wealth that his father has given him. John, completely disillusioned about his son but determined to change him, decides to make him a unique proposal, which he could not refuse. Convinced that the only way to mature his son and make him change his lifestyle is to get him married, John tries to convince Jack to ask young Patty to marry him; only in this way he could resume the path that led him to graduation and that seemed to be able to blossom into a brilliant managerial career. However, Jack has absolutely no intention of starting a family, but he promptly changes his mind when John promises him the prospect of becoming president of Jabot in case of marriage. Jack accepts the deal and thus asks a radiant Patty to get married. She is ecstatic to fulfill her dream of marrying her Prince Charming and accepts in ecstasy. John is happy for the step taken by his son, a choice that finally makes him proud, and thus confirms his desire to give him the presidency of Jabot as a wedding gift. But if the father of the groom-to-be is enthusiastic about the news of the upcoming wedding, the parents of the bride-to-be, Carl and Mary, are certainly not of the same opinion, as they would like everything except to have Jack as their daughter's groom. Carl and Mary don't care if it means being related to the very rich Abbott's; they are and wish to remain a humble family that is based on the values of the past; values that guys like Jack don't possess at all. Carl thus tells Patty that neither he nor his mother will ever accept their marriage, but Patty reminds them that she is now a grown up and that she can choose for her life herself. The already critical relationship between Patty and her parents is in danger of deteriorating forever.

1982 (#4) - Patty's torments, the loss of virginity with Jack and Carl's reaction
Months after her breakup with Jack, Patty finally seems to have found her smile. She's been dating the handsome, young Danny, who continues to be very successful among the girls in Genoa City. Patty's life really seems to be perfect, since her parents, Carl and Mary, have also had the opportunity to meet the boy, being happily impressed by his kindness and by his living with his feet on the ground, while being very successful. But despite a life that everyone would want and the approval of her parents, Patty feels unhappy, she feels that she is missing something. What she's missing, reluctantly, Patty knows: it's Jack. If Danny gives him confidence and patience, waiting for her to be ready for her first intercourse, Patty's enthusiasm for him certainly doesn't leave Jack indifferent, who, after a poorly closed relationship with Jill, sees no reason why he shouldn't have fun with the girl. The two of them begin to meet secretly and Patty hides her real feelings from both Danny and her parents. Meanwhile, it's the girl's 18th birthday, when she comes of age. To celebrate, Patty decides to meet Jack and declares all her love for him, confessing that she is ready for her first intercourse. Jack, by deceiving the girl with the prospect of a marriage and a job as a model at Jabot, manages to make love to Patty. A disappointed Danny, put aside on his girlfriend's most important day, realizes that Patty is in love with Jack and decides to leave her, convinced that she doesn't deserve him. And when Carl and Mary realize the breakup between Patty and Danny, they immediately realize it has something to do with Jack, so they swear they will keep them apart. Carl's anger and frustration show when Patty comes home in tears, having seen Jack hitting onChris; Carl goes to Jack and punches him in the face that causes a fractured nose. Danny tries to console Patty by advising her to leave Jack, but when he refuses to press charges against Carl, Patty forgives him.
