1983 (#3) - Jack's affair with Diane and Patty's pregnancy

Jack and Patty's marriage, between ups and downs, still seems to be going well. The woman seems to have overcome the difficult moment in which she felt neglected by her husband, busy interfering with her father's relationship with Jill, and certainly Jack's decision to hire his father Carl as a security guard had reassured her about the possibility that her family would sooner or later accept her marriage. To Patty's surprise and joy, she also soon discovered she was pregnant. The first to be informed of the news is Mary, who participates in the joy of her daughter and promises her that for the moment she would not inform Carl of the pregnancy, since Patty would like to tell Jack first; she was just waiting for the right time. Jack, meanwhile, is under increasing pressure from the demands of the provocative Diane, always determined to take advantage of her secret about Jack's prenup night to get financial benefits. Jack, on top of that, is attracted to the woman, and begins to have a clandestine relationship with her, with whom he often meets in the office to have sex.
