The emergence of the truth and the fact that her son is not dead gave new energy and new vigor to Nina, who promises herself to find her son and bring him back to her. When Nina reveals her intentions to Christine, the latter advises her to be very careful as Rose, as she has seen, is a very dangerous woman. But nothing can stop the courage of a mother who wants to protect her baby. Nina thus manages to track down a surprised Rose, who soon finds herself with her hands raised when Nina pulls out a gun. The woman orders Rose to reveal to him who her son's adoptive family is: only in this case she will not kill her. Rose tries in vain to tell him that in any case she can't do anything since the adoption is completely regular, but Nina doesn't believe her and repeats her to pull out the names of the adoptive parents. Eventually, Rose relents and reveals Aidan's adoptive family, before being tied to bed and immobilized by Nina, who calls the police before leaving and warns her to come and get Rose to arrest her. Meanwhile, an excited Nina runs to Christine to reveal that she has discovered the identity of her son's adoptive parents; Christine, worried about the reaction that Nina will have, decides to accompany her, to be next to her. Arriving at the indicated address, Nina learns that her son's adoptive parents are spouses Fred and Helen Lansings; and finding them outside in the garden playing with her son, whom they call Aidan, who appears happy and carefree, Nina observes the scene with tears running down her face; then, suddenly, he makes the decision to leave Aidan where he is, believing that Rose was right after all, having been adopted by a family capable of giving him all the love and life she could never offer him. Christine comforts a desperate Nina, who will never forget her son and, over time, will regret not having acted in this situation and not having claimed to have her son back. Shortly after, in fact, the Lansings move and leave Genoa City for a destination that Nina will never know, effectively making him lose track of Aidan and increase his regrets.

1986 (#31) - Nina's afterthoughts, Aidan's birth and the adoption of Helen and Fred
Rose continues to be completely friendly with Nina, but in the meantime she tries to make her understand how much trouble raising a child alone can be when you are just a young mother. Nina and Molly thus begin to consider giving their child up for adoption, after all, finding themselves alone and being completely unprepared to become mothers. To these doubts are then added the psychological pressures orchestrated by Rose, such as that of introducing the two girls to Stephanie Worth, a young mother with two children who confesses to them that her life has become hell; and Dr. Felix Burke himself frightens the girls by explaining to them all the responsibilities that one has in raising a child. A few days later, on a pretext, Rosa gets Nina to sign a document that turns out to be the adoption application documents; Rose, on the phone, informs Fred and Helen that the girl has accepted the application, making the two Lansings literally mad with joy. Just when Nina begins to have her first contractions, Nina is surprised to see Christine at Rose's; Christine shows the wig and the fake belly she used to enter, posing as a future mother, after which she announces to Nina that she will no longer allow her to run away and find herself alone. However, just as Nina and Christine are talking, the water breaks and Rose orders Vince and Felix to take Nina to the hospital. On their way to the emergency room, meanwhile, Nina confides to a shocked Rose that she has decided she wants to keep her baby and won't give it up. However, after the birth, Rose arranges for Felix, who also lost his doctor's license years ago, to change Nina's medical records, recklessly abandoned by nurse Janet Hillcock by registering her son as dead. Rose thus announces to Nina and Christine that the child died immediately after giving birth. And so, just as Christine consoles a desperate Nina, Rose hands the baby over to Fred and Helen Lansings, who, full of joy, decide to name their baby Aidan.

1986 (#28) - Rose's single mothers' home and the illegal adoption trade
Forced to hide from justice and mafia organizations,Rose de Ville returns to Genoa City after a few years. The volcanic, cruel and bargaining woman, who has always sided with crime to make easy money, this time decides to open a house for teenage mothers that, apparently, should give comfort to young pregnant teenagers but, in reality, hides an organization well infiltrated in the black market of illegal adoptions. Helping her are the trusty Vince Holliday, who actually acts as a bodyguard, and Dr. Felix Burke, who assists the girls during pregnancy and childbirth. Nina's arrival makes Rose happy, and she is immediately ready to take advantage of the girl's state of mind to organize an easy adoption; however, she is reluctant to accept Molly into the house, making the girl understand that there is no room for her. Actually, Rose and Felix, noting that Molly's pregnancy is not yet in an advanced stage, consider it costly to keep the girl for all this time; but when Nina intimates Rose to find a place for Molly otherwise she too would have left, also saying that she is willing to share a room with her, Rose is forced to accept Molly's arrival. As the months go by, the time of Nina's baby's birth approaches. Meanwhile, Rose meets a married couple, Fred and Helen Lansings, who are desperate to adopt a baby and are unable to have children; Rose, thinking of Nina's baby's next birth, announces to them that, in exchange for a sum of money, they can legally obtain their baby.
