Meanwhile, an excited Nina runs to Christine to reveal that she has discovered the identity of her son's adoptive parents; Christine, worried about the reaction that Nina will have, decides to accompany her, to be next to her. Arriving at the indicated address, Nina learns that her son's adoptive parents are spouses Fred and Helen Lansings; and finding them outside in the garden playing with her son, whom they call Aidan, who appears happy and carefree, Nina observes the scene with tears running down her face; then, suddenly, he makes the decision to leave Aidan where he is, believing that Rose was right after all, having been adopted by a family capable of giving him all the love and life she could never offer him. Christine comforts a desperate Nina, who will never forget her son and, over time, will regret not having acted in this situation and not having claimed to have her son back. Shortly after, in fact, the Lansings move and leave Genoa City for a destination that Nina will never know, effectively making him lose track of Aidan and increase his regrets.
