Rose continues to be completely friendly with Nina, but in the meantime she tries to make her understand how much trouble raising a child alone can be when you are just a young mother. Nina and Molly thus begin to consider giving their child up for adoption, after all, finding themselves alone and being completely unprepared to become mothers. To these doubts are then added the psychological pressures orchestrated by Rose, such as that of introducing the two girls to Stephanie Worth, a young mother with two children who confesses to them that her life has become hell; and Dr. Felix Burke himself frightens the girls by explaining to them all the responsibilities that one has in raising a child. A few days later, on a pretext, Rosa gets Nina to sign a document that turns out to be the adoption application documents; Rose, on the phone, informs Fred and Helen that the girl has accepted the application, making the two Lansings literally mad with joy. Just when Nina begins to have her first contractions, Nina is surprised to see Christine at Rose's; Christine shows the wig and the fake belly she used to enter, posing as a future mother, after which she announces to Nina that she will no longer allow her to run away and find herself alone. However, just as Nina and Christine are talking, the water breaks and Rose orders Vince and Felix to take Nina to the hospital. On their way to the emergency room, meanwhile, Nina confides to a shocked Rose that she has decided she wants to keep her baby and won't give it up. However, after the birth, Rose arranges for Felix, who also lost his doctor's license years ago, to change Nina's medical records, recklessly abandoned by nurse Janet Hillcock by registering her son as dead. Rose thus announces to Nina and Christine that the child died immediately after giving birth. And so, just as Christine consoles a desperate Nina, Rose hands the baby over to Fred and Helen Lansings, who, full of joy, decide to name their baby Aidan.
