1988 (#17) - The break between Christine and Phillip Jr, the agreement of Jill and Chase

The birth of little Chance, as feared by Jill and Katherine, has inevitably radically transformed Phillip Jr.'s life, from his school commitment to his life with his friends to his relationship with Christine. The woman, who, as said, had the maturity and patience to stand aside in the first days of Chance's life, to give Phillip Jr. a chance to get used to his new condition as a father, is now beginning to suffer from the situation. Phillip Jr. and Nina are willing or not always very close and present in Chance's life, which obviously takes a lot of the time that Phillip Jr. used to dedicate to Christine, who feels more and more neglected and suffering from the situation. Of all this, taken by the thousands of commitments that the situation requires, he does not realize Phillip Jr, who in spite of everything is still so in love with Christine that he intends to propose to her. It is precisely by talking about their future, this discussion undertaken by Phillip Jr. to propose to her, that Christine takes the leap to confess to Phillip Jr. that she no longer wants to be put on the sidelines and that, evidently, the right place for Phillip Jr., at this time, is not with her but with Nina. Phillip Jr. is shocked by Christine's sentences, but she insists that it is time to do the right thing and take responsibility and so, while confessing that she loves him, leaves him wishing her all the luck in the world with Nina and their son. The news of the break-up doesn't just make Phillip Jr despair, but obviously Jill too, who decides that the time has come to act to get Phillip Jr away from Nina's heart before it's too late. Thanks to her corporate position at Jabot, then, Jill gets to know the handsome Chase Benson model, to whom she promises a quick climb inside the company as long as he seduces the beautiful Nina and distracts her from Phillip Jr. Chase, enticed by Jill's proposal, thus begins to seduce her.
