1986 (#25) - Karen's social work shelter and the meeting between Molly and Nina

Determined to help Molly and do the best for the little one, Christine and Danny turn to Karen Olsen, a social worker who runs a shelter for teenagers who are alone and on the run from their families. Karen is delighted to welcome a rock star of Danny's caliber to her shelter, and hopes this will bring visibility and publicity to her core so she can help many more girls. Among the many girls housed in the center, it is Loretta Smith who particularly impresses Danny; Always influenced by Danny's music, Loretta is a very problematic girl who lives in a state of despondency due to the uncertainty of having to deal with an unwanted pregnancy. Danny is very fond of the girl and establishes a very strong connection with her, to the point of understanding that he has to work more on this very important issue; in the same way, Loretta is thanks to Danny that she is able to accept herself and her condition, starting to experience pregnancy with great joy and happiness.Molly, however, categorically refuses to tell Christine or Karen the identity of her parents and, in the meantime, sends a letter to Beverly reassuring her about dropping out of college and informing her that she has found a job in Genoa City. Molly, meanwhile, meets her roommate Nina Webster, a teenager who, like her, is expecting a baby conceived in the bathroom of a nightclub with a vanished guy named Jimmy Malloy. Molly and Nina immediately make friends and both agree to leave the shelter as soon as possible. Nina, meanwhile, learns of the existence of a house for teenage mothers in the city and contacts the owner, who is none other than Rose DeVille. Rose offers Nina her help and, above all, a free place to stay. Nina informs Molly that she has decided to leave the refuge to live with "Aunt Rose" and soon the girl urges Molly to join her. Molly thus, increasingly nervous and pressed by Karen to reveal her parents' names, decides to flee the help centre to reach Nina from Rose. When Karen realizes she can no longer find Molly, she informs Christine and Danny that Molly has disappeared into thin air again.
