1986 (#26) - Andy and Farren's wedding and Lauren's trip to Minneapolis

The relationship between Andy and Farren, meanwhile, continues smoothly and without anything or anyone getting in their way, even though Lauren does not resign herself to the idea that Farren, in her mysterious past, may have done something bad. Paul is happy to receive the invitation for him and Lauren herself to their wedding; on hearing the news of Andy and Farren's imminent wedding, however, Lauren receives a real cold shower. The girl, not wanting to receive criticism from Andy or Farren, or create problems in the friendship between Paul and Andy, Lauren accepts the invitation to the wedding, but confides to Paul about the whole Farren thing and finally convinces him that they have to do something. Meanwhile, the wedding day arrives, and Lauren admits that Farren and Andy are really a wonderful couple and that they deserve all the happiness in the world. The ceremony, intimate and very romantic, sees Andy and Farren fulfill their dream of love in front of a few, excited, intimate people. Unaware of the wedding, Diane tries one last desperate attempt to win back Andy, who is shocked to find Diane naked in his bed waiting for him on the wedding night. Farren, enraged, shows the ring to Diane who, in disbelief, apologizes to the couple and decides to leave, preferring to return to London despite Lauren begging her to stay in town as she may still have some hope with Andy. Just when Lauren seems to have no chance to find out the truth, and almost gives up the idea that she can, suddenly Farren disappears for a few days, leaving Andy very upset. Lauren thus regains courage and convinces Paul to investigate the case and search for the truth. In the meantime Farren returns to Genoa City without giving many reasons for her absence, even if in reality she starts to have some memories of her previous life. Without therefore meddling too much in the life of the two newlyweds, Lauren discovers that Farren's accident occurred in Minneapolis and decides to go there to investigate better. Lauren also convinces Andy to go with her, even if the hopes of finding some important clues vanish into thin air; Lauren returns to the city with the only certainty that Farren is not originally from Minneapolis, having found no information neither at the city registry office nor among the missing persons reports. Andy himself is increasingly skeptical in persisting in what has now become a useless search for him.
