Brock, thanks to his approach to faith, has shown that he has put his problems with alcohol behind and, above all, that he has put his grudge against his mother aside. Brock is sincerely concerned about his mother's condition and lifestyle and, after making peace with her, puts an end to the many years of misunderstandings, promising to help his mother get out of the alcohol tunnel. It was not easy for Katherine to welcome Brock back into the Brock family, but it is even harder to accept his help to regain sobriety. In the end, thanks also to the pressure of Jill and Phillip, who asked her to stop the self-destruction, Katherine convinced herself to join an Alcoholics Anonymous group, as it was too embarrassing for her to admit in public that she has a drinking problem for years. Everyone is happy with the woman's choice to improve her life, hoping that she can finally recover. The feelings between Jill and Phillip, meanwhile, secretly grow more and more.
