1974 (#12) - The attempts to help Katherine and the infatuation between Jill and Phillip

Jill begins to tolerate Katherine's bad habits, who regularly continues to drink and smoke so much that her husband Philip can no longer cope with her excesses, her debauchery, it even annoys him to have her around. Jill starts feeling pity for Katherine and she wants to do everything she can to help her. Convinced that if she could have stopped the woman from drinking and smoking, maybe she would have done more to help herself and get closer to Phillip. But he is more and more fed up with his wife's attitude and less and less inclined to insist on helping her, now convinced that no one can save her and that in any case nothing can make him forget her constant betrayals, the last one with the stable boy. Jill, on the other hand, is convinced that an improvement in Katherine could lead Phillip to love his wife again. As she tries to explain this to Phillip, he begins to notice more and more the girl, fascinated by the many gestures of kindness and great patience towards Katherine. It is not long before the man begins to be attracted to the young, innocent and beautiful Jill. During their struggle in the battle to get Katherine back on the right path, Phillip and Jill get closer and closer and as Phillip already realizes he loves the young woman, soon Jill also realizes she has feelings for the man. Phillip, before getting carried away by passion, convinces Jill that his marriage to Katherine was guided by convenience, they never felt love for each other.
