1992 (#5) - Michael's advances and Christine's sexual harassment lawsuit

Christine's appreciation and admiration for Michael begins to waver when he impulsively kisses her after a favorable ruling in an important trial. Christine immediately withdraws and, despite Michael's apologies for not being able to control himself, she begins to wonder about Michael's real intentions and motivations towards her. The episode, just as it seems to have been forgotten by Christine, is suddenly recalled when one evening, left alone to work in the studio, Michael comes out of the closet and begins to make serious advances on the woman. When Christine politely attempts to pull back and remind the man that she is married, he suggests to her that he would like to propose a more intimate personal relationship in exchange for a faster career. Completely shocked, Christine leaves the studio, shocked by the man's behavior. Not wanting to say anything about the incident to Danny, wanting to wait until she is sure of what she is saying, being convinced of her husband's certainly unfriendly reaction to Michael, Christine turns to her friend and much more expert than she is, John Silva, informing him of the situation. John, also scandalized by what happened, confirms to the girl his suspicions, namely that Michael's words, comments and advances can well be considered as sexual harassment being more than enough to file a lawsuit. This is even more true when Chrstine, with extreme disbelief, discovers on her return to work the following day that her expected promotion has disappeared, as well as her contractual proposal to transform her employment relationship into a permanent one. When Christine returns to work the next day, her planned promotion has disappeared, as has her proposed change of employment. When Christine then informs the firm that she intends to proceed with a lawsuit against Michael, Calvin suggests that she consider dropping the charges; after all, the negative publicity it would bring to the firm could reflect on her as well.
