1992 (#3) - Michael's law firm and Christine's admiration

The new year opens, for Christine, in the best of ways, both from a sentimental and professional point of view. On the one hand, in fact, she is happily living her marriage with Danny, the first and only man with whom she has ever felt truly protected and loved and with whom she feels she shares a union that destiny could never break; on the other hand, she has obtained her dream job, having been hired by one of the most prestigious law firms in the city to work side by side with the affirmed and young lawyer Michael Baldwin. Michael, likewise, is happy to have such a skilled, determined and beautiful assistant by his side and, taking her under his tutelage, promises her a great career. Christine, on the other hand, is strongly fascinated by Michael's oratorical qualities, to the point of following him, enraptured, during all his harangues in court. Convinced that with such a capable and qualified mentor, she will soon become an excellent lawyer, Christine begins to spend many hours in the firm and among the courtrooms, always in Michael's company. Although at first Danny is delighted with Christine's new job and the fact that she is so interested in her boss, he soon becomes increasingly suspicious of Michael's behavior and intentions, fearing that the man has ulterior motives and interests other than professional ones. However, when Danny timidly tries to point out to his wife that he is spending more and more time at work, Christine is literally furious at Danny for questioning, or just thinking, that there might be something more between her and Michael than just a sincere professional appreciation. And so, despite her husband's concerns, Christine reassures Danny by assuring him that their marriage will always be more important than her work and that nothing could ever separate them.
