Clint is satisfied with how things are going; the plan to replace Marge is bearing fruit and before long, as soon as he has liquidated all of Marge's assets, he plans to kill the real Katherine so that he can finish the show and escape with the money. Marge is not at all convinced, however, and she seems very conflicted about continuing to pursue the project, beginning to feel remorse for her actions and no longer feeling free in the role of a stranger. However, any talk of her doubts is immediately interrupted by Clint, who has absolutely no intention of screwing things up. Neither of them, however, suspects in the meantime that Brock has now come to the conclusion that the one living at the Chancellor estate is not the real Katherine; and it doesn't take long before Brock is able to overhear a heated discussion right between Marge and Clint. Convinced that Marge might regret her actions, Brock takes the woman aside and tells her that he understands everything; he then urges her to put an end to this cruel kidnapping and let her mother go free. Meanwhile, the real Katherine, reading the newspaper article reporting the sale of Chancellor's Industries, becomes more and more convinced that Brock is now on their trail and will soon come to free her and Esther. It is Marge, however, who arrives at the house that serves as the two women's prison. Marge informs Lil that she needs to talk to the real Katherine because she needs to know the combination to her safe and begs her and Morey to leave her alone with her in the cell; inside, Katherine is shocked to see her own copy in front of her, but she is even more shocked when the woman starts screaming and banging on the wall making her realize that she wants to stage a furious argument between the two of them. Katherine, when Marge begins to undress, quickly understands the woman's intentions, who wants to exchange clothes with the woman and thus give Katherine the coveted freedom. Katherine, finally free after months and months of kidnapping, can thus finally run to get her life back.
