Still incredulous that she is expecting a child even from a Chancellor, Nina is over the moon. In love like never before, Nina is already daydreaming of a future with Phillip Jr. at Katherine's estate, a prospect that doesn’t make her resist the temptation to visit Katherine's villa with an excuse, posing as a surveyor. Katherine, immediately suspicious of the girl, ends up realizing that Nina is one of many girls who aspire to become Phillip Jr.'s girlfriend exclusively because of his name. Determined not to have to deal with gold diggers, therefore, Katherine abruptly chases the girl away. Nina, however, does not delay in returning to Katherine, this time with with her hand on her heart. Nina this time opens herself completely to the woman, confessing that she is expecting a child from Phillip Jr. and that she has no place to stay. Katherine, then, decides to host Nina in the attic of her house while she awaits the birth of the child; but more than a hospitality, it is, in fact, a prison, since Katherine intimates Nina that she cannot see or see Phillip and that she can also forget him since she will never be a Chancellor. Katherine's forced hospitality goes on for days, until Nina hears Phillip Jr.'s voice from the attic, who is present at Katherine's house along with Jill and Rex. Nina, then, manages to open the hatch in the attic and come down to run to Phillip, completely incredulous to see her there. When Nina informs everyone present of the pregnancy, Phillip Jr. and Jill are upset. But the reactions are the opposite. Phillip Jr. is furious with Katherine for acting so villainously, absolutely not accepting Katherine's justifications, which assures Phillip that his attention was all focused on the baby and her health; at the same time, Phillip is excited and enthusiastic about the idea of becoming a father, which makes Nina full of joy. With completely opposite feelings Jill reacts instead, worried about Nina's pregnancy both because she has no sympathy for the woman and because she believes that Phillip is still too young to become a father, believing that he is better off with a classy woman like Christine than with a simpleton like Nina. In any case, Jill decides to act alone to get rid of Nina, and hires Paul to locate and track down all of Nina's men in the last period, so that she can prove that the child is not Phillip's. The search, however, unfortunately for Jill has a negative result, and the only boys identified, Jason Monroe and Gary Roberts, have had a flirt with Nina, but there was no sexual intercourse between them.
