Back in Genoa City, Lauren is determined more than ever to ensure that Farren's true identity is revealed. So Lauren and Paul contact Andy and explain the situation to him. Andy is initially furious with Lauren for her constant intrusions, but soon he is convinced by Paul that the only thing to do is to face the situation together with Farren, without running away or forgetting it by pretending it doesn't exist. Andy then accepts Lauren's plan to have Evan and Farren meet casually in town. The first step was simple for Lauren, that is to convince Evan to show up in Genoa City; much more difficult, however, the meeting with Farren, fixed at the Rendezvous, is expected. Here, Farren is surprised when Evan sits down at her table and starts talking to her excitedly. Farren, who does not recognize the man, thinks he is hitting on her and asks Andy to send him away; but she is shocked when Andy himself asks Farren to listen to Evan. They tell her about their previous life, their marriage, the house in Pittsburgh, the birth of their daughter Betsy. Farren is incredulous to hear those words and her first spontaneous reaction is to run away; soon, however, Andy tries to make her calm and reason, despite Farren confirms that she doesn't even know who that man is and that she has never seen him before. Farren then says again that she doesn't want to go back and dig into her past and that she only wants to think about her present and her future. Lauren is disappointed when Andy tells him about the negative outcome of the meeting and the decision taken together with Farren to put this whole thing behind him in order to move forward; and even more so when Evan, who now seems resigned to having lost his Michelle forever, informs Lauren to return to Pittsburgh.
