It's now been a year since Gina was released from prison and Danny was finally starting to put new trust in his sister. Always growing up with scams, petty robberies and bad friendships, Danny's sister had been in prison for five years before she showed up at Danny's door looking for help. Danny agreed to give Gina a home, but he made it clear from the start that he wanted nothing to do with the woman and didn't want to meddle in her affairs, which is why Danny ran away from home many years ago when he was a child, as their parents were the first to be scammers. Aware that she had to regain her brother's trust with her deeds, Gina thus got herself hired at Jona's as a waitress, working every day. In the meantime, Danny's band was always very successful and, while he was slowly trying to forget his feelings for Patty, singer Traci fell madly in love with Danny. Gina advised Danny several times to get engaged to Traci, who had an obvious crush on him, reminding him that the girl is rich, being an Abbott; Danny, however, is certainly not interested in his money, and sees in Traci only as friend. Things get complicated for Traci when a new singer is placed side by side with Traci, namely the attractive Lauren Fenmore, that Danny immediately finds very attractive. Needless to say, not at all happy about this news is Traci, who swears to herself that she will succeed in making the man her own.
