1983 (#24) - The conflictual relationship between Jill and housekeeper Mamie

In addition to the negotiation for the sale of Jabot, Dina's return produces its most devastating effects especially in the marriage between John and Jill. The protagonist of everything is the housekeeper Mamie Johnson, who has been John's faithful servant for years and who, at the sight of Dina, cannot help but dream of her reunion with John. Between Mamie and Jill, in the meantime, a conflictual relationship is increasingly growing, caused firstly by Mamie's attempts to take Jill away from John, and to make him return to Dina's arms, and secondly by Jill's spite, which leads Mamie to ask for her resignation for the first time. Packed her bags, in fact, Mamie leaves leaving a letter to John explaining that she cannot continue to bear Jill's accusations and insinuations. John, annoyed by this, tells Jill to apologize to Mamie and convince her to come back, since Mamie is now part of the family and therefore demands respect. Jill, while not understanding John's position, reluctantly accepts to let Mamie back in the house, which reinforces Mamie's hopes, who in the meantime promises herself to eliminate Jill from John's life, to one day reunite the man with Dina.
