The marriage between Chris and Snapper, already going through a difficult time since Sally's return to the city, lives another critical moment when Jack makes the acquaintance of Chris. Initially attracted to the woman, the young man of the Abbott family soon turns his interest in the woman from sentimental to professional when he learns that she is already married and with a beautiful little girl. And in response to Jack's tempting job offer, which encourages the woman to make a space for herself and gain experience in the fashion world, Chris seems genuinely interested. So she agrees to sign a contract with Jabot, convinced more and more by the sense of frustration felt for the increasing way Snapper neglects her, busy as he is between work and Sally's attentions, who with the excuse of Chuckie's illness is getting closer and closer to the man. He, however, denies any involvement and is skeptical of his wife's idea of a modeling career. However, Chris claims her right to keep a space for herself, claiming she deserves it. Discussions between the two grow when Jack offers Chris a shoot in Hawaii, where he will of course accompany her. Snapper at this point shows the first signs of an evident jealousy, that eventually please the woman. Tensions between the two, however, dissolve when Chris falls ill and is forced to refuse the proposal, to the great joy of Snapper, who also intimates Jack to stay away from his wife.
