1980 (#13) - Lucas' relationship with Casey and the sale of The Allegro to Jonas
Once the official divorce with Leslie was done, Lucas suddenly finds himself alone and aimless in his life. He unintentionally runs a successful company aware that he is neither capable nor willing to do so, and he feels the need for someone who is capable of loving him. Driven by the same feelings, and still bitter about the end of her relationship with Snapper, Casey casually meets Lucas at The Allegro. Both eager to put their recent emotional history behind them, Lucas and Casey find themselves two people who are going through the same phase of their lives and are looking for their true love. Struck by each other's kind and romantic souls, both soon realize that they are meant for each other and begin a relationship. It doesn't take long for them to find themselves in love and happy. Happy that their relationship has the strength to fill all the gaps within them that they seek in their lives, the two manage to understand the meaning of pure love that goes beyond mere physical attraction. In the meantime, Leslie continues her process of renewing her life by deciding to sell her old The Allegro; for this assignment she turns to Brock, who is soon contacted by a young and charming man, Jonas Kay, who shows an interest in buying the place. The deal is soon concluded and a few days later, on the ashes of The Allegro, the new Jona's is inaugurated.
