
The fragile balance that keeps alive the marriage between Chris and Snapper is broken when a doctor, unaware of the repercussion of his statements, tells Chris that the baby wasn't premature and that he was was born in the right term. Chris' suspicions about the questionable paternity of Sally's child, which until then had been contradicted by Sally's reassurances and Snapper's words, which kept repeating to her that Chuckie was Pierre's son born prematurely, suddenly became reality. At the time of conception, in fact, Pierre and Sally were not married yet, but instead, Stuart had just confessed to him about Snapper's betrayals with Sally. Desperate, Chris realizes that Snapper is Chuckie's father.
