1973 (#6) - Liz’s cancer, her relationship with Sam and Jennifer's problems with Stuart

When Snapper begins to see her mother unusually tired and exhausted, suspecting something is wrong, he accompanies Liz to the doctor. From the tests that Liz undergoes, actually, emerges a uterine cancer diagnosis. She immediately needs surgery. Since Liz is initially reluctant to accept the disease, Snapper contacts Liz’s brother, Bruce Henderson, to help her face this difficult moment and convince her to undergo surgery. For a long time Bruce has been far away from his family, but as soon as he is informed of the situation he immediately leaves Chicago to stay with his sister. Liz's surgery is successful and the tumor is completely removed. Liz is happy to have cleared up any past misunderstanding with Bruce and tries to convince him to stay in Genoa City. Bruce's stay in the city, however, did not last long, although in this period he managed to re-establish contact with Jennifer Brooks, with whom he had had an intense and passionate relationship, although short, many years before she married Stuart. During Liz's hospital stay, Jennifer meets Snapper and she gets along well with him. She promises to support the relationship with her daughter Chris, although this leads her to problems and arguments with her husband Stuart, who reaffirms his opposition to the relationship. Once the recovery from the operation was completed and completely healed, Liz goes on with her life, which in the meanwhile, has been enriched with the pleasure of getting to know a man, Sam Powers. For a long time Liz had almost forgotten what it meant to enjoy the male company, so the woman begins this new relationship that makes her happy.
