1973 (#5) - The story of Chris and Snapper, Stuart’s suspicions and the affair with Sally

Stuart has tried in vain to dissuade Snapper from seeing Chris, his daughter, because he thinks Brad is a good for nothing and therefore a boy not suitable for her. Anyway he’s determined to continue the relationship. Stuart’s opposition is one of the biggest contrasting reasons between Snapper and Chris. The girl, being deeply in love with the boy, even moved out from the family home to go to live with him: a proof of love that let Snapper know how much strong their relationship was, clearing any doubts. In any case, Snapper and Chris argue a lot about their relationship, because of Snapper’s character: rebellious and very instinctive. He would like to make love with her while Chris, guided by a rigid moral code, is determined to wait until marriage. The other relevant topic on which the couple disagrees concerns children. Chris dreams of having kids while Snapper is against it, being unable to support a wife and a family, until at least he graduates. Although Snapper knows how much Chris is deeply in love with him, he continues to see Sally, secretly in love with Snapper, and always available to have sex with him, even if he sees her just as a very intimate friend to have fun with, a girlfriend who can satisfy his desires and the one he can vent to. The suspicious Stuart and his detective skills didn’t take a lot of time to learn all he could about Snapper, including the nights in Sally’s room.
