1973 (#4) - Brad’s presumed death and the despair of Barbara

Later at the headquarters of Stuart newspaper, Brad’s attention is captured by an article including a photo of him, the article states that Dr. Brad Elliot was involved and killed in a car accident; his unrecognizable body was identified through his personal belongings. Evidently, one of Brad’s robbers had been victim of an accident shortly after the robbery. Brad decides not to deny the news, leaving people to believe he’s really dead and start a new life in Genoa city. Meanwhile, at a nearby police station, a mysterious woman named Barbara Anderson, who seems to know Brad very well, recognizes Brad’s personal belongings found in the car and, devastated, convinces herself with the police version: Brad Elliot is dead.
