1984 (#19) - The painful goodbye to Stuart, Lorie and Lance's wedding, Sally's divorce

Victor and Nikki's wedding is also the occasion for many protagonists who had left Genoa City to return to the city. The first to return to the United States are Liz, Chris and Snapper, accompanied by Greg, who return from London. Unfortunately, with them does not arrive good news, since Liz informs everyone that Stuart had passed away only a few weeks earlier due to Addison's illness. A grieving Liz, then, is consoled by Katherine and Victor, who express their approval for the decision to bury his ashes in the city. Present at the touching farewell ceremony for Stuart are the other daughters Leslie, Peggy and of course Lorie, accompanied by Lance. Victor was delighted to meet Lorie again, who thanked him for agreeing to invite Lance as well. Lorie and Lance, after all, have just remarried and took the opportunity to return to Genoa City for a few days before leaving for their honeymoon, so it's clear that Lorie's plan to take Prentiss Industries back from Victor to convince Lance to come back with her in the end really worked. Before leaving for London, finally, Snapper decides to visit Sally and her son Chuckie, who he finds very grown up. Chris and Snapper are very surprised to learn that Sally has just divorced Stan, and both hope that she will soon find a man to raise Chuckie with a father. After this short time in the city, everyone eventually leaves Genoa City again, and many of them will never come back.

1981 (#9) - Steven's proposal, Peggy's indecision and the interruption of the wedding

Steven, meanwhile, wanting to put aside his misunderstandings with Peggy about the job offer he received, decides to formalize his relationship with Peggy by asking for her hand, unaware, of course, that the woman had slept with Jack. Peggy, also pushed by Stuart and Steve's parents who approve the report, accepts the proposal, although she feels afraid for a step she is not yet ready for. As time goes by, moreover, the approaching marriage inexorably causes more and more doubts in the girl's soul, who unconsciously begins to feel more and more feelings for Jack. Throughout the wedding preparations, in fact, an unconscious Jack, convinced that the night spent with Peggy doesn't mean anything to the girl and that he considers it a simple escapade as he does, undermines Peggy's commitment to Steven, filling her with doubts big enough to make her wonder if she's doing the right thing. Steve himself, perceiving some distance from the girl, has tried to reassure Peggy that their love is strong enough to overcome her doubts. Peggy, however, with the inexorable approach of the wedding, can't help thinking about what she feels for Jack and, secretly, starts hoping to make him jealous, although the boy doesn't seem to notice it. When the big day finally arrives, Peggy, feeling captive and oppressed in a marriage that she doesn't really want, makes the difficult decision to renounce her own wedding right at the altar, surprisingly cancelling the wedding saying she's not ready for such a big step. Steven, completely shocked and stunned by Peggy, reluctantly accepts the girl's decision; and with a broken heart, the man decides to leave Genoa City for Washington, where Steven's second thoughts about the job offer are immediately accepted. A broken Peggy, aware that she has broken the heart of the only man who has ever loved her, is consoled by Stuart, who reassures her that she has made the right decision if that is what she feels. Peggy, finally, decides not to reveal to anyone the reasons why she decided to break off the wedding, and therefore her secret love for Jack, deciding to commit to forget the man, knowing that there can be no future between them.

1981 (#4) - Steve's relocation to Washington and the night between Peggy and Jack

As we know from their work at the Genoa Chronicle, the relationship between Steven and Peggy, meanwhile, seems to be going smoothly. Driven by Peggy's idealistic but decisive and determined character, apparently tough and rebellious, Steven soon falls in love with the girl, recognizing in her soul the innocence and sweetness he had never found in any girl before. Peggy also feels strongly attracted by the maturity and kindness of the man, with whom she shares a sense of justice and truth. But when Steven receives an excellent job offer in Washington, which he is tempted to accept, Peggy's doubts soon become evident, and she immediately sinks into the belief that the man does not love her. Convinced, then, that Steve no longer intends to continue his relationship with her, Peggy finds herself meeting Jack, with whom she lets off all her insecurities and spends a night of passion. Only the next day Steve reports to the girl that he has rejected the proposal of Washington to be close to her, but the news, however, only increases the sense of inadequacy of the girl, who on the one hand is happy with Steven confirming his love for her, the other suffers terribly from the guilt due to the night with Jack.

1980 (#20) - Peggy's investigation, infiltration into the sect, engagement with Steven

Peggy is excited about her work at the Genoa Chronicle and immediately sets to work with her teammate Steven. Peggy, having recently heard a growing alarmism about the spread of satanic cults and sects in the city, decides to make an inquiry into this obscure phenomenon. Steven agrees to address the issue and, despite a worried Stuart strongly advises her not to go into this matter and offers her to deal with lighter and less delicate issues, Peggy's great determination, combined with her thirst for truth typical of the best journalist, make her immediately throw herself body and soul into this investigation. Peggy starts collecting material by wandering around the city, doing interviews and asking for information in the slums of the city. Soon, she learns of the existence of a dangerous sect called Communion of the New World which, with the intention and promise to make its adherents discover the truth and prepare them for their destiny, turns out to be an association that literally leaves its adherents broke, causing not only serious psychological problems, but also financial ones. In the meantime, Greg notices with more and more concern the behavior of his wife, by now a stranger in the house, who goes out regularly every night without saying anything about what she does; so soon Greg is convinced that Nikki has a lover and asks Casey for information, but she is also surprised by it. Meanwhile, Steven and Peggy are satisfied with their investigation, having collected a lot of material; Peggy, however, wants to go further and go inside the sect. So she decides to infiltrate, pretending to be an aspiring adherent. Through an informant, so, Peggy pretends to be interested in participating in the sect and is brought to one of their meetings. All the participants wear a black hooded dress, so Peggy can't see anyone's face. Determined to break up the gang, Peggy contacts the police and so, in a subsequent meeting, tries in every way possible to expose the leaders of the sect, Rebecca Andrews and Sumiko Funai. Rebecca, realizing that Peggy is a spy, warns Sumiko who tries to kill her, but in the end the police intervention ends the fight, thus making numerous arrests. Peggy is overjoyed, having managed to take down an entire gang of criminals and Stuart, despite the big scare, is proud of his daughter as well as Steven himself, who gets carried away by the emotion and kisses Peggy. The two of them, amazed and embarrassed, eventually let themselves go to passion and find themselves attracted more than ever. It doesn't take long before Steven breaks off his relationship with Jill to embark on a new adventure with Peggy.

1980 (#11) - Peggy's work as journalist and the flirt between Jill and Steven

Leaving behind the attempted and failed wedding with Derek and then the last hopes of getting Stuart back, who just got married to her mother Liz, it's time for Jill to start a new life. And this time, without tricks, secrets, or plots. At Stuart's wedding Jill meets Steven Williams, a journalist from the Genoa Chronicle of which Stuart is ,as we know, the publisher. Steven is Paul's older brother, but compared to him, he's a completely different person. He shares Paul's straightforwardness, determination and tough character; but unlike Paul, Steven is driven by an honest, kind and loyal soul. It doesn't take Jill long before she starts to get curious about the man and want to keep seeing him; and Steven is also pleasantly impressed by the girl, who is extremely beautiful, sweet and gentle. So the two of them start dating for a while. Meanwhile, Stuart tries to convince Peggy to keep the promise he made to Liz before their wedding, to stay in town. Peggy reminds her father that in San Francisco, where she recently finished college, she now has a life of friends and many people who love her, but Stuart insists that here in Genoa City there is her family and, if she wants, her job. Stuart proposes to the aspiring journalist Peggy to join the editorial staff of the Genoa Chronicle and Peggy, enthusiastic embraces her father and anxiously accepts the offer. Already on her first day of work, therefore, Peggy meets Steven himself, with whom she will work together, and she is literally overwhelmed. The situation does not please Jill, who is quite jealous but at the same time not at all worried about young Peggy's competition.

1980 (#9) - The return of Peggy, the birth of Jennifer and the joy of Chris and Snapper

On the occasion of Liz and Stuart's wedding, Peggy also returns from San Francisco. The younger of Stuart's daughters does not hide her doubts about her father's decision to marry again, and fears that Liz, like her daughter Jill, is only interested in her father's money. Liz, understanding Peggy's anger towards her, reassures the girl that she is neither interested in her father's assets nor disrespecting their family. Liz doesn't want to replace Jennifer, dead Peggy's mother that she misses a lot by the way, Liz just wants to make her father happy, who like Peggy and like everyone else has suffered for Jennifer's death. Eventually, Peggy and Liz hug each other and the girl agrees to attend the woman's wedding to her father; moreover, Liz begs Peggy to stay in Genoa City and the girl agrees to return to live in their house with her and Stuart. The happiness of this special day is also doubled when at the end of the ceremony Chris feels her waters breaking and so she has to give birth to her daughter. Thus was born Jennifer Elizabeth Foster, daughter of radiant parents Chris and Snapper who decided to name their daughter as their respective mothers, Liz and the deceased Jennifer who no one has forgotten to this day. The newlyweds Liz and Stuart, therefore, discover with pleasure that they became grandparents on the same day of their wedding. It really is a special day in Genoa City!

1979 (#11) - Suzanne's confession to Derek and her rapprochement with Jill

Derek cannot explain Suzanne's bizarre behaviour and her departure without any details; in particular, Derek misses his son, which leads him to constantly look for and call her, asking the reason for his departure and pointing out his need and right, to see his son Jamie. Suzanne, finding herself under increasing pressure by all the man's questions, agrees to return secretly to Genoa City to talk to him in person. At the opposite side of the city from the Chancellor property, Suzanne reveals to Derek about his wife's fraud, telling him that she saw her walking with her very own eyes and that she was paid to go away and keep the secret. The news shocked Derek, who couldn't believe the woman's words, even though he actually managed to confirm it in the following days. An angry Derek then decides to confront Katherine, informing her that he wants to initiate divorce procedures. At the same time, Stuart informs Jill that he is now determined to end their marriage, despite the woman trying in every way she can to convince him to give up the idea. Stuart thus informs his daughters of the decision he has made, which fills them with joy. Now approaching their respective divorces, Jill and Derek find themselves once again in the possibility to start all over and to try once more to give their relationship a chance.

1979 (#5) - The marriage to Stuart, Jill's oath, and Liz and Greg's doubts

Finally comes the long-awaited day of Stuart and Jill's wedding. Both in love with other people, the marriage is based purely on a physical attraction and the secret of Jill, who pretends to be expecting a child to gain better financial security for herself and her son Phillip. It's obvious that in this situation, the marriage is going. Despite this, however, the good intentions of the couple, who declare their eternal love in front of the many guests, are naturally the best. Stuart is happy to marry a young and beautiful woman, who becomes a wife envied by many; Jill, on the other hand, is happy to finally earn a comfortable life and give her son a peaceful future. Regretting having to lie to Stuart about her pregnancy, she also promises herself that she will soon get pregnant so that she does not have to admit the truth to Stuart and give him a child for real. Stuart's daughters also attend the ceremony, of course, who have tried to approve the marriage or not to get in the way of it, and, with obviously conflicting feelings, Liz, who carefully avoids turning her eyes on Stuart to focus on Jill instead. Next to her, Snapper and Greg support her, both strongly convinced that this marriage is not going to last long. Particularly doubtful about the solidity of the marriage just celebrated are Liz and Greg, who both have serious doubts based on very convincing reasons. Liz, having spoken with her friend and trusted friend Katherine, is aware of Jill's attempt to get in touch with Derek; Greg, on the other hand, obtains confirmation of his feelings by speaking directly to Stuart, who confesses to him his real reasons for marrying Jill. Greg knows that he cannot tell to the mother Liz about Jill's pregnancy as she would suffer too much, but this convinces him of the real feelings between Liz and Stuart, and he swears that he will do everything possible to get them back together again one day.

1979 (#1) - Stuart's announcement and Liz's astonishment

The moment Jill confesses to Stuart that she's pregnant, the man is convinced to get back with the woman and put aside any intention of breaking off the relationship. However, Stuart finds it difficult to announce to his daughters that he can't keep his promise to stop seeing the woman, and as if that weren't enough, the man is forced to tell Liz the whole truth. But as Jill's pressure to hurry the announcement grows more and more insistent, Stuart would like to take some time to come up with the best strategy that will not hurt his family or poor Liz. So he decides he can't admit the whole truth and has to keep the pregnancy hidden, even if it makes it harder to justify his decision. Stuart thus confesses to Liz that he no longer loves her and that he still has feelings with the mysterious woman he was seeing. Liz is shocked and disappointed by the news, but she cannot believe her ears when Stuart confesses that the lover is her daughter Jill. At these words, Liz is frozen and decides to cut off ties with the man in good terms. Liz then confronts her daughter, first informing her that she knows the whole truth, then assuring her that she will continue to support her as a mother by not obstructing her relationship with Stuart even though she no longer wants anything to do with her. Finally, it is Stuart's turn to make his will known to Chris, Leslie, Lorie and Peggy, who are shocked by the news but wish their father to regret his choice.

1978 (#22) - Jill's fake pregnancy

Shocked and silenced by Stuart's decision to take a step back and return with Liz, Jill is desperate for Stuart's choice and struggling to understand the reason for such a sudden change of heart. Sure that someone has convinced the man to end their relationship, Jill suspects Katherine, who exonerates herself and backs away from any responsibility, and she's determined to do anything to have the man, the only one capable of giving her son financial security. So she decides to put Stuart on the spot, confronting him with a condition he could never back down from: she pretends to be pregnant, announcing to Stuart that she got pregnant, probably during their weekend in Las Vegas. The news leaves the man astonished, who at this point lets himself go into the arms of Jill, the only real woman capable of making him lose all control. The idea of having a baby excites Stuart, ready at this point to fight against everything and everyone to be with the irresistible Jill, happy that her plan goes smoothly. However, when Jill notices Stuart's great concern, who is hesitant to inform his daughters about the pregnancy and asks Jill for some time to assimilate the event, Jill immediately understands, of course, who is rowing against her relationship with the man. So Jill starts trying to approach Leslie, Lorie and Peggy, but they reject any attempt to approach her, reminding her that I absolutely do not want to become friends with her father's former lover. Not knowing that Jill is back with Stuart, however, the woman makes the best of this bad situation and warns them that they will have to prepare to get used to her presence. Meanwhile, Jill also faces the other major obstacle that separates her from Stuart: her mother Liz. She's convinced that she's once again Stuart's only woman and proposes to Jill to put it all behind her, unaware that her daughter is actually doing everything she can to take Stuart away from her once again. Determined not to undermine her relationship with her mother and, above all, her reputation, Jill decides to wait and let Stuart, who is always hesitant, expose himself and take any responsibility for his choice.

1978 (#20) - Opposition of the daughters, Stuart's decision and understanding of Liz

Meanwhile, an increasingly incapable Stuart to stop Jill's seductive advances is persuaded by the woman to make their relationship public. Just as Stuart lets himself go for a passionate kiss with the girl, however, he is seen by a distraught Lorie, who cannot believe how her father could have been seduced by the woman. Worried that her father has lost his mind, Lorie informs the other sisters of what she saw. Leslie, Chris and Peggy, urgently called back to town, find themselves in agreement with Lorie in wanting to talk to their father to stop him from carrying on that relationship that is harmful not only to poor Liz, but also to their family. Stuart, sorry for not having warned their daughters directly about his relationship, admits he has uncontrollable feelings for the girl and claims the freedom of his choices. Soon, however, he realizes that he can't give his daughters such a hard time, the convinced that Jill is only interested in their father's money, and decides to end his relationship. He promises to talk to Jill as soon as possible and to end it with her. Then Stuart himself apologizes to Liz, admitting that he has recently been seeing a much younger woman, but without specifying her identity. Liz is sympathetic, although she does not hide her disappointment, but she is happy with the sincerity of the man and the fact that he reassures her by saying that he has ended his relationship to focus on their union

1977 (#18) - Jennifer's cancer and death

In the many and troubled adventures of Stuart and Jennifer's four daughters, news shocked the Brooks family. Stuart is in fact distraught when Dr. James Atwater, in the presence of Jennifer herself, informs the couple that the cancer has now spread and that Jennifer has only a few days to live. Chris, Leslie, Lorie and Peggy are grief-stricken and desperate to hear the news and are all working hard to stay close to their mother in the last days of her life. Stuart confesses to his wife that he has never felt a deep love like the one he has for her, Chris thanks his mother for giving her the strength that has always distinguished her, while Leslie is holding on to the woman to give her back some of the love she has received. Then it's Lorie's turn, who although she has never been very close to the woman, in the last year, from the news of her truth about her fatherhood, has formed a completely new relationship that has introduced her to a different Jennifer with whom, in besides the feelings of a daughter, she has also developed a deep friendship. Finally, Peggy begs her mother not to leave, as she still has much to learn from her. Paradoxically, it is Jennifer who consoles everyone, once again showing herself to be a strong and courageous woman; in a final touching conversation with Stuart, finally, a suffering Jennifer apologizes to her husband for not always putting him first before letting go in a desperate hug. And it is in Stuart's arms that an exhausted Jennifer dies, overcome by a heart attack. Everyone despairs for the death of Jennifer, who is given the farewell in a moving funeral ceremony in which many characters of Genoa City give their personal greetings and praise to the woman.

1977 (#14) - Jack's selfishness and the divorce with Peggy

Things between Jack and Peggy went pretty well until the night a suspicious Stuart decides to follow his daughter, discovering with disgust that he is in front of Jack's apartment. Thinking that the man has subdued his daughter and is abusing her by exploiting her weaknesses, Stuart decides to teach Jack a lesson that night. And so when Stuart breaks into the house and attacks Jack, soon a fight breaks out between the two men. A desperate Peggy who listens scared to her father in the bathroom, unable to stand Stuart's accusations against her husband any longer, finally comes out and lashes out at her father for treating Jack unfairly. Peggy thus confesses to a shocked Stuart that she is now married and that thanks to Jack she is trying to overcome her sexual inhibitions in bed with her husband. She then accuses her father of having ruined their intimacy and, soon after, she comes back with a horrified Stuart but only to take her things and move permanently to Jack, determined to be in any way a perfect wife for the man she loves. Stuart first firmly criticizes his daughter's behavior, but then decides not to fight it anymore, realizing that his daughter has become a woman. Some time later, Peggy confesses to her father that she has consummated her marriage and has now overcome all limitations. However, the reality is different, since Peggy still has a mental block and Jack's insistence on trying to make love does not help the girl to relax. One night Jack, tired of waiting and wanting to make love to his wife, takes her by force and forces her to have a relationship against her will. Peggy, once again feeling abused, hurls herself against the man, calling him the same as Ron and, just like her brother George, as her family has repeatedly suspected. After that, Peggy takes her things and runs away. Despite Jack's objections, Peggy is unshakable and immediately starts divorce proceedings. Back at Stuart's again, Peggy is so comforted by the whole family that she admits she was wrong to trust a man like Jack.

1977 (#10) - Stuart's opposition and the secret marriage between Peggy and Jack

During the time immediately following the rape, the Brooks family has every reason to be concerned about Peggy's emotional state, and everyone, Chris at first, advises the girl to seek professional counseling and then see a psychologist. Peggy, however, reacts with anger to the proposal and refuses to do therapy, stating with absolute determination that she doesn't need it and insisting rather that if everyone would stop pressuring her, everything would be better. During this time, Stuart also refuses to allow Jack to see his daughter, despite the opposition of the man. The opposition to this relationship becomes even firmer when Stuart and Chris realize that Professor Jack Curtis is George Curtis' older brother, Chris' rapist, years earlier. Despite attempts to hinder their love, however, Peggy and Jack, who makes very clear that he hasn't nothing to do with his brother and hasn't had any contact with him for years, continue to see each other in secret. And the prayers of Stuart and Chris, who try to warn the girl not to trust the man, are useless: Peggy is convinced that a secret marriage would be able to solve her emotional problems, so Jack, madly in love with Peggy, decides to follow her immediately to make real the idea. The two plan their love getaway and, without telling anyone, exchange their wedding vows. Peggy and Jack also plan how their wedding will take place; since they can't live together under the same roof yet, their newly weds life soon turns out to be a part-time marriage, with the girl trying to go to Jack's house as often as possible. Peggy is convinced that without the pressure of her family she will be able to achieve a normal relationship with her husband and hopes that this will help her overcome her trauma, making sure that she can finally give herself to him.

1976 (#16) - Peggy’s rape, acquittal of Ron and psychiatric hospitalization of Nancy

Just when Jack is running to Peggy to inform her that he has finally got a divorce and that they can finally be together, she goes to Chris to tell her about her secret relationship with his professor and ask her for advice. Not finding her at home, Peggy enters and decides to wait for her return; however, Chris' door was opened by a mysterious man who abuses the young girl, still a virgin. When Chris is informed by his sister about the rape, she tries to console Peggy and make her overcome this terrible trauma, experienced by Chris herself years before. Peggy soon finds the confidence and strength to report the incident. When she is shown some suspects to the police, Peggy recognizes her rapist in Ron, which leaves Chris shocked. Despite all the violence she has suffered, Nancy cannot believe that Ron could have done such a thing and takes her husband's side. Chris herself, moreover, shows doubts, not knowing how Ron could have broken into her home. In the trial, meanwhile, Ron is exonerated for lack of evidence; however, shortly afterwards, it is Nancy herself who realizes her husband's guilt, having found a note with Chris' address in his jacket. As soon as she confronted her husband, Nancy was beaten up and Ron ran away. Nancy goes to Chris to tell her the whole truth, but once they get to the police, the two women are disappointed to discover that it is not possible to start the procedures for an arrest warrant, since the case has already been judged and the evidence is insufficient to reopen the case. Ron, meanwhile, has now gone off the grid. Nancy, meanwhile, is showing more and more signs of emotional and mental instability and is being admitted to a mental institution. Little Karen is thus temporarily placed in the care of Chris and Snapper, who are happy to be able to give her some peace of mind and love.

1976 (#9) - Peggy’s suspicions, the promises of Jack and the divorce with Joanna

Joanna's suspicions about a possible extramarital relationship with Jack soon arose in Peggy's thoughts, increasingly alarmed by Jack's reluctance to talk about his family. Despite Jack's assurances of being single, Peggy soon ends up not believing in the man anymore and he is eventually forced to admit he has a wife. Peggy, desperate and incredulous for having been so naive as to have been made fun of by Jack, is soon reassured by the man, who informs her that he has decided to end his long-dormant marriage. Peggy, thus, incites her man to show her his love and to divorce her before she gets fed up and leaves him. In reality, however, Jack realizes that he is incapable of leaving his wife, convinced that Joanna would suffer too much emotionally from a possible separation; in fact, Jack is convinced that a divorce would only increase Joanna's depression. In the meantime, however, it is Joanna herself who seems convinced to finally change her life. Thanks also to Brock's psychological help, Joanna understands that more than on her marriage and her husband, she must focus on herself and commit to losing weight not to make him happy but to become a better and more confident person herself. The weeks go by and with the first results of her efforts comes a greater awareness that she doesn't deserve a husband like Jack, now convinced that he has a mistress. When Joanna asks him for information, Jack initially denies it; however, as time goes by, Jack grows stronger and confesses to Joanna the whole truth about his involvement with Peggy. Joanna, astonished by her husband's reaction of pride, informs him that she now considers herself a free woman and intends to let him go without too many regrets. It is Jack, at this point, who feels somehow betrayed by his wife, he did not believe she had become so aware of the end of their relationship. Undecided whether to continue fighting to win back Joanna, who had meanwhile returned as beautiful as she used to be, or to jump into the relationship with Peggy, in the end it was the events and decisions of others that decided for him. Joanna, in fact, without second thoughts and determined to start a new life, signs the divorce papers and leaves Jack free to go to his Peggy.

1976 (#6) - Jack’s double life, the eating disorders of Joanna and Brock’s help

As the clandestine relationship with Jack continues, what the young woman cannot know is that Jack is married. His wife, Joanna Curtis, is a waitress at The Allegro. Suffering from severe eating disorders and overweight, Joanna has been depressed for some time now and is desperately trying to lose weight with new and ineffective diets, convinced that her husband is no longer in love with her. The relationship between Jack and Joanna, in fact, has lost the romanticism that distinguished the early years of their marriage; Joanna had gained weight and had gradually lost control both of her marriage and her weight. Brock, who frequently attends The Allegro, has known the woman for a long time and is constantly encouraging her not to get depressed. Brock, therefore, invites her to realize how beautiful she is and encourages her to buy a new dress and prepare a candlelight dinner for Jack in order to attract her husband's attention again. However, any attempt by Joanna to rekindle her relationship is interrupted by Jack, who is increasingly absent from the house, also because of his secret relationship with Peggy. When Jack comes home after his meeting in the library, excused invented to hide a date with Peggy, Joanna is so disappointed again by the man, who is too tired to do anything other than go to sleep. Less and less interested in making love with his wife, Jack then increasingly neglects Joanna, who despite Brock's efforts to cheer her up, lets herself go more and more, venting the only way she knows how, with food. The day of Joanna's birthday, to console the woman for yet another night when she is neglected by Jack is once again Brock; Jack, who has gone out with Peggy, remembers too late to give a gift to his wife, who is increasingly angry with the man and convinced that he has another more attractive woman.

1976 (#2) - Peggy’s restlessness and the infatuation for professor Jack

The breakup between Stuart and Jennifer hurt the youngest of the couple's daughters, Peggy. The girl, who is living through the delicate period between adolescence and adulthood, is probably the most fragile of all the Brooks sisters and suffers more than the others from Jennifer's decision to move in with Bruce. Peggy can't forgive her mother and is looking for someone to vent to. Feeling distant both from her father Stuart, with whom she never had a great relationship in terms of communication, and from her sisters, who have now become women and taken by their marriages and personal affairs, it is natural then that Peggy has sought comfort in the most reassuring figure for her, her high school teacher Jack Curtis. she has always admired the culture and the calm and reassuring character of the man, so Peggy relies on the advice of Jack, who listens to her and supports her in this difficult moment. With Jack, Peggy is able to talk to him and explain all her problems and fears, convinced that the man has her interests at heart. The relationship between the two soon grows without the two being able to realize it and without Peggy or Jack realizing how their feelings for each other are changing and inevitably affect their lives. On Peggy's campus, meanwhile, rumors of their scandalous secret relationship are circulating more and more insistently and it doesn't take long before they realize the dangerous implications of their relationship. Jack, a respected mature man, much older than the girl, finds himself at the center of problems related to the alleged crime of exchange of sexual nature favours with one of his students. Peggy, worried and frightened by the accusations, runs away. In the end, however, it is Jack who chases after the girl, informing her that he has resolved the matter and that he has quit the institute; the man, moreover, admits to having feelings for the girl; and when Peggy confesses that she has fallen in love with him, the two realize that it is already too late, before they let themselves go into passion.

1973 (#1) - The Brooks Family

The Brooks family is one of the more important families in Genoa City. The head of the family Stuart Brooks, Genoa city Chronicle’s publisher, married to Jennifer Brooks couldn’t have asked for a better family. Stuart is a very caring and loving husband, and an overprotecting father as well, to all of his daughters. The older one, Leslie, is a very shy and introverted daughter with a passion for piano. Chris, the second daughter, is instead a young girl at the same time sweet, caring and of a great beauty who collaborates occasionally in her father’s newspaper. Their third daughter, Lorie, is busy studying very hard in Paris, while the last of the four daughters, Peggy, unique because of her red hair and freckles, is still studying in High School.
