In spite of all Michael's attempts to convince Christine to withdraw her accusation, and to obtain, thanks to his friends, a dismissal of the same, at the end the day of the trial before the disciplinary court that must decide on the allegations of sexual harassment brought forward by Christine. At stake is the honorability and the very possibility of continuing to carry out his profession as a lawyer by Michael. Michael, who has no intention of abandoning his job, decides to defend himself; and when he realizes that things are not going well for him, having brought Christine numerous testimonies in his favor, with the exception of Hilary herself who has decided to stand by her husband in this battle, Michael decides to play his most important card, namely the incriminated photos that show Danny in the company of Rebecca. In this way, Michael hopes to shift the attention on Christine, showing that her relationship with Danny is not as solid as she wants to make believe and that therefore during the flirtation with Michael the woman was knowingly consenting. The photos obviously produce the need for a clarification between Danny and Christine, who is initially shocked by her husband. However, soon the two come back stronger than ever having clarified and having understood that the girl was probably hired by Michael to take those shots. In the end, despite all Michael's attempts, the man is found guilty and, to the joy of Christine and Danny, is expelled from the bar and ordered by the Supreme Court of the State of Wisconsin, presided over by Judge Howard Hodgekins, to stay away from Christine. Michael, who immediately after the trial appears sincerely repentant, publicly apologizes to Christine and announces that he will leave the state along with Hilary to start a new life far from Genoa City, which obviously makes Danny and Christine very happy, unaware however that the man, inside himself, has sworn revenge against them.
