1991 (#19) - Sheila's concerns and Molly's heart attack

When Scott says he wants to bring Scotty to Lauren's to introduce him to her, Sheila becomes enraged, accusing her husband of still having feelings for his ex-wife. Scott then prefers not to anger the woman and renounces his purpose. Sheila's happiness, however, is seriously threatened when her mother Molly returns from her home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, angry that she has not been invited to her daughter's wedding. Sheila's concerns turn out to be amply justified when Molly informs her daughter that she knows about the baby swap, having overheard a phone call between Sheila and the child trafficker. What's more, Molly makes no secret of the fact that she has returned to Genoa City precisely to tell Lauren the truth about her misdeeds. Despite Molly's disapproval of Sheila's manipulative and immoral behavior, Sheila's manipulative and immoral behavior soon convinces her mother to take a step back, leveraging her love for her daughter, a love that often surpasses her sense of duty. Sheila begins to behave in a caring and affectionate way towards her mother, something that also sweetens and moves Scott, who is more and more convinced of his wife's genuineness. In the meantime, Lauren starts going out with Paul again, hoping to get over Scott. The latter, visibly jealous of his ex-wife, is distracted in every way by Sheila, who does not fail to use her sensuality. It is Sheila herself, however, who is thoughtful about the relationship between Paul and Lauren, fearing that Scott might not be the father of the child she stole, Scotty, and even that Paul was the father. Meanwhile, despite all of Sheila's nice words, she can't stop her mother from telling Lauren the whole truth; and taking advantage of the fact that Seila is forced to go check on the baby, Scotty having started crying, Molly has the opportunity to leave and run to Lauren. Fortunately for Sheila, however, Molly is struck by a massive stroke on her way to see the woman.
