1991 (#16) - The divorce with Lauren and the marriage between Scott and Sheila

Convinced that he has to move on with his life, that is Sheila and little Scotty, Scott decides, despite the strong feelings that still bind him to the woman, to ask Lauren for a divorce. Lauren, pretending not to show too much pain and not denying, but not even affirming, that Dylan is Paul's son, agrees to sign the papers, decreeing the end of their marriage. This completely destroys Lauren, who despite Paul's attempt to console her, decides to leave town for some time, needing to reflect with herself. Sheila, meanwhile, is thrilled when Scott informs her that he has officially divorced Lauren. Sheila, therefore, doesn't lose heart and immediately starts to organize her wedding with the man, still incredulous that everything is going according to her plans. Away from Genoa City, meanwhile, Lauren spends a lot of time thinking about her life and her baby, eventually coming to the conclusion that she can't deny Scott the truth. And even if he doesn't agree to go back with her, it's only fair that he knows he's Dylan's father. Just as Lauren matures this decision, Sheila, Scott and all the guests gather to celebrate their marriage. And just as Lauren is therefore regaining the enthusiasm and will to fight that she once had and that has always distinguished her, she rushes back to Genoa City to join Scott, who exchanges wedding vows and promises to live together for the rest of their days. Finding herself in the middle of the last wedding she would ever want to attend, Lauren is shocked and instinctively runs away, finally melting into tears as a satisfied Sheila kisses her new husband.
