1990 (#35) - The feelings between Nathan and Olivia and Drucilla's step backwards
Drucilla's discovery that Nathan and his sister Olivia are engaged is a very hard blow to digest. At the very moment when the girl was rediscovering happiness and joy of life, and was finally putting her life in order, this news seems to have plunged her back into despair. The girl, however, does not get depressed in front of this unexpected obstacle and promises herself that she will fight with all her strength to get what she wants: Nathan's love. And this even at the expense of her own sister. Drucilla is convinced that Olvia has already had far too much from life: the love of her parents, a professional career as a doctor already underway and an economic condition far more reassuring than her own: for this reason, she will not allow the possibility of finding the love of her life to be taken away from her. Despite all of Drucilla's attempts, including asking Nathan to dance with her, she is unable to win Nathan's heart, who reassures a worried Olivia that he loves her. Olivia can't understand how her sister can shamelessly hit on her boyfriend, and even gets annoyed with the man himself, who every time finds an excuse for Drucilla. However, it is Nathan himself who puts an end to the matter, explaining to a distraught Drucilla that her heart belongs to Olivia, and that sometimes you have to deal with the reality of things. And so, the youngest of the Barber sisters desists from all attempts, wishing the couple happiness and making peace with Olivia.
