1990 (#17) - The reconciliation with John and Rex and Jill's marriage in Colorado

Despite the fact that Brock is slowly beginning to understand that the current Katherine is not the one that everyone has always known, Rex seems to have already put his marriage on hold. The man is in fact now enraptured by Jill and literally in love with her; and when Brock tells him, shocked, that he confessed to having spoken, even if only for a few seconds, with Katherine, the real Katherine, Rex reacts in a distracted and superficial way, showing the man that he has already archived that phase of his life and that he has other interests on his mind. This interest, of course, is Jill Foster who, like many times in the past, finds herself in the difficult position of having to choose the man she wants to be with. Rex, in fact, is not the only man currently in the woman's life, but there is also John, with whom Jill is simultaneously experiencing yet another period of reconciliation. Contrary to the story with Rex, however, a possible relationship with John would have more than a few obstacles, since by choosing the patriarch of the Abbotts Jill is aware of facing the firm and hard opposition of Jack. John's son, in fact, immediately shows his opposition to the relationship between his father and Jill, trying to remind him of all the times he made him suffer; in the end, the ambiguities of his father, who is always strongly attracted to the woman, give way to rationality. And so, when Jill hears John reassure Jack that he would never get back with the woman, as he cannot forget his past and put a stop to his suffering, Jill realizes that she must give up on John. Jill thus throws herself into the arms of Rex, who duly consoles her and, to her surprise, immediately asks her to marry him. On impulse, she accepts and the couple travels to Colorado, where they declare their eternal love and get married.
