1990 (#11) - Victoria's disapproval and Nikki's pregnancy

The marriage between Jack and Nikki continues with the determination of both to keep it going. Nikki, with each passing day, realizes that Jack, behind that apparent mask of superficiality and cockiness, is actually a sweet, protective and caring man, now mature and ready for a stable relationship. However, the problems between them, mainly from external causes, are certainly not lacking. This time it is not Victor but Victoria to create problems for the couple. Victor and Nikki's young daughter, now a teenager, despite the gratitude shown towards Jack, doesn't hide the fact that her desire is to see her mother and Victor, her only and irreplaceable father, together again. Nikki tries to make her understand that by now her life has moved on and in her present there is Jack; however the girl, who shows a very rebellious spirit and a character that reminds her a lot of her father, does not accept this situation, and decides to go and live with Victor. He, at this point, takes charge of his daughter and, believing that the ranch is not the right place to raise a child, since he is too often away on business, decides to enroll the girl in a school in Switzerland that he himself attended. Victoria is not at all attracted to the idea of leaving Genoa City, but in the end Victor convinces her, telling her that it's only for a year and promising to leave together for Europe so that they can spend time together, since he too needs a break from work and above all from thoughts of Genoa City. Nikki thanked Victor for solving her problems as always, and he was happy to be able to help raise their daughter. Upset by Victoria's affair, but at the same time a little envious of Victoria's admiration and love for her father, Jack confesses to Nikki that he wants a baby and is ready for this important step. The request comes at a very difficult time for Nikki, since she is struggling with herself to try to forget Victor; but a baby could be the right solution to finally move on with her life. A few weeks later, then, a surprise Nikki discovers she is pregnant.
