1989 (#13) - The disability of Skip, economic problems and the wedding with Carol

After many years of engagement, Skip and Carol are happier than ever. Together they have overcome numerous obstacles, which has brought them closer and closer until they realize that they are strongly in love with each other. Among their many difficulties, certainly the main one was the disability in Skip's legs, due to an illness from which the talented photographer Abbott has been suffering since childhood. Luckily for him, however, Skip has significantly reduced his motor problems thanks to an expensive operation that allowed him to use a particular brace able to help him in his daily life; an operation financed by John Abbott, to whom Skip owes all his gratitude. Just the economic aspect is another difficult problem that the couple had to face; problems mainly related to the impossibility for the young Carol, now a woman, to continue working as a model. Skip and Carol thus intend to get married, but the reduced economic capacity of the two does not allow them to face a marriage; once again, John and Jack come to them, being very ready to continue to offer Carol a decent job as a secretary. Very happy and honored to be so loved by John, and in general all Abbott, Skip and Carol fulfill their dream of love by getting married in a simple but touching ceremony where, before the Lord and the Reverend Keith Rudman, they declare eternal love under the moved eyes of John, Jack, Ashley and Thracians.
