1987 (#8) - The reconciliation between Beverly and Molly and the birth of Brenda

Although Molly is now resigned to living and raising her child on her own, and particularly without her mother's support, Christine doesn't give up and can't believe that Beverly would turn her back on her daughter. Without saying anything to Molly, therefore, she joins Beverly in her home and asks for explanations of her intolerant and irresponsible behavior. Beverly welcomes Christine into the house and the two begin a long discussion. Beverly explains to Christine that she made the same mistakes at a young age as Molly did now, finding herself expecting a little girl, Molly herself, when she was a young girl. She tells Christine about her difficulties in her life and the many sacrifices she has had to make for the sake of her daughter, and also alone having her boyfriend decide to leave her; and that is precisely why she does not accept that Molly is forced to live her experience again after she, for years, has planned and dreamed for her daughter a bright and promising academic career. Christine, however, does not agree with the woman's point of view, reminding her on the one hand that Molly is obviously the best thing that Beverly has done in this life and, on the other hand, that each person must undertake their own life path without anyone influencing them or trying to avoid making any mistakes; indeed, it is important to make mistakes because only in this way is it possible to grow and mature. Beverly, astonished by the wisdom of the girl, finally agrees to forgive her daughter and welcome her into the house. And after some reluctance on the part of Molly herself to meet her mother, in the end mother and daughter find themselves reconciled and united again. Molly thus accepts Beverly's proposal to move in with her and everything seems to be going well. However, the trials are not over for Molly, as she finds herself without a partner to raise the unborn child with, as Jason, under the burden of the responsibility of becoming a father, eventually realizes that he is not yet ready for this kind of life and decides to end the relationship with the girl. Molly is thus consoled by Christine and Beverly and, some time later, gives birth to little Brenda, to everyone's delight..
