1987 (#7) - Brad's pledges, Jack's grudge and Traci’s miscarriage

Only a few months after Brad and Traci's marriage, the woman realizes with great joy that she is expecting a child. Traci is over the moon about the news, but she is a little disappointed when Brad seems to react almost indifferently to the idea of becoming a father. The marriage between Brad and Traci, in fact, is not all roses and flowers as the woman had dreamed, since she feels more and more neglected by her husband. Although unjustified, and on the other hand Brad has never really been in love with Traci, the man's behavior is still partly motivated because of the great commitment that work at Jabot requires. In the absence of Ashley, who is in the specialist centre and undergoing daily medical treatment to get her back in shape and overcome depression, in fact, Brad, together with Jill, is the only real point of reference for John within the company. John, as we know, is a huge fan of Brad, who he considers almost his son and admires him for the dedication and professional commitment he puts into his work; all the opposite of his real son, Jack, who has never been able to make himself really useful for Jabot. In the meantime, he continues to have a lot of suspicion of Brad and, above all, a lot of hatred and resentment, since he considers him the usurper of the place he deserves by right. If at Jabot, therefore, the climate is full of tension, it is certainly not less so in the house of Traci and Brad, where the woman lives more and more in a state of anxiety due to the fact that she is convinced that Brad has another woman, since he is always late in coming back from work. Despite Brad's reassurances, Traci is more and more agitated until she faints. She only regains consciousness when a very worried and agitated Brad returns, and he immediately takes her to the hospital, where Dr. Bernard Laski can do no more than inform her that she has had a miscarriage.
