1987 (#25) - Victor's vain hopes and Ashley's commitment to Steven

Already archived in his heart and mind his current marriage to Nikki, Victor's intentions, of course, are to run immediately to the woman he loves, Ashley, to tell her that there is hope for their future together. However, Victor's joy and hope of being able to fulfill his desire for love are not destined to last long. As soon as he arrived at Jabot, in fact, Victor was disappointed to learn from John that Ashley had meanwhile left for a vacation with her doctor Steven, with whom she had started dating. Returning from the Pacific with Steven, who turns out to be a tender and sweet lover, a happy and relaxed Ashley finds to her surprise Victor waiting for her, who informs her of all the latest news and shows his intention to stay with her. And although Ashley informs him that she has waited long enough and that she has now go ahead, Victor seems to give her a pearl necklace and a unicorn, symbol of his dream of being together. The gift leaves Ashley speechless, showing that the woman still has feelings for him, but Steven, on the other hand, shows Ashley a ring with which he asks her to become his wife. Excited and determined by Steven's greater decision, which conveys security and protection to her, Ashley accepts dreamily.
