Shortly before the judge can issue his divorce decree, John asks the court to stop the proceedings having decided to accept all of Jill's requests. The case is thus dismissed, and a few days later John receives Jill's official request: 20% of Jabot's property, a seat on the board of directors and an executive position with an annual salary of $150,000. John, despite himself, is forced to swallow the bitter pill and accept the request, a decision favoured by pressure from the board of directors and in particular from Steven Petrie, Jill's dear friend, who makes the woman very happy. John's anger and vengeance, however, is transferred all towards his son Jack; John is in fact furious with his son for having betrayed him and stabbed him in the back, demonstrating once again his immaturity and his disrespect for values and especially for the most important thing, the family. John feels no reason and thus informs his son that he is no longer part of the company, wanting him out of both his home and his life. Jack, stunned and stunned to see his father in this state, takes his things and leaves, going in search of Jill. Jack thus hurls himself at the woman accusing her of ruining his life and exploiting him to blackmail his father for money and power. Jill doesn't respond to the accusations, and lets a grudging Jack walk away, who promises to make her pay. A week later, John and Jill's divorce is finally formalized, with Jill being promoted to executive and board member, as well as owning 20% of Jabot's shares.
