1984 (#11) - John's happiness, Jill's miscarriage and Liz's departure

With the news that he will soon be a father again, John is thrilled and shows all his happiness to Jill for the wonderful news. Ashley and Traci are also thrilled to hear the news that they will soon have a little brother, while the only ones who are not happy at all, of course, are Dina and Mamie, who are convinced that at this point the chances of a divorce between John and Jill are very low. As time goes by, however, Dina gathers from Katherine her suspicions about the lie about Jill's pregnancy, recalling the false announcement made by Jill herself during her marriage to Stuart. The two women, in fact, would not be surprised that Jill is lying again and decide to confront her. As they argue furiously and accuse each other, Katherine is shocked to see Jill fall unconscious. Taken immediately to the hospital, where she quickly recovers, Jill is shocked to learn from the doctor that during pregnancy it is normal to experience drops in blood pressure and fainting. Jill, then, understands that her plan worked and that she is really expecting a baby from John, news that naturally disappoints Katherine and Dina. Jill's joy, however, doesn't last long; in fact, when she doubts that the baby could be Jack's, who asks more and more insistently if he will become the father of his father's wife and doesn't forget the night of love he had some time before, soon the pain and heartbreak for the complications of the pregnancy itself, which force her to have an abortion, becomes clear. John and Liz are very close to Jill at this sad moment, and they try in every way to comfort her. But the bad news never comes alone, as Liz is urgently called back to England for the serious health problems that have affected Stuart.
