Without Nikki's distractions and attempts of seduction, driven away by her marriage to Kevin, Victor can finally focus on his relationship with Lorie, with whom he is slowly falling in love. The woman, after all, seems to be increasingly attracted to Victor and his life, to the point that in a short time her biography is completed. Victor is enthusiastic about Lorie's beautiful words about him, words that she has evidently used to attract the man to her in order to achieve her plan. And Victor, now in love, thus falls into the trap of the woman. When Victor gives a very precious ring professing his proposal of marriage, the woman accepts on the condition that the gift should be Prentiss Industries' shares. The man, convinced that the woman only wants proof of his sincerity and love, accepts and grants him a promise to sell her his entire controlling stake in the company. A very happy Lorie, thus, accepts Victor's proposal, making him not at all suspicious of her real intentions. And Victor proves he suspects absolutely nothing even when Lorie asks him to sign the agreement before the wedding so that he can prove to his future wife that she can trust him completely. Unaware that Lorie has already made a copy of the deed, Victor is then happily surprised to see Lorie burn the deal, which removes any doubt in Victor's mind about the woman's feelings. Lorie, in fact, for the first time ever shows repentance for her plan, having begun to know and truly love Victor; however, feelings for Lance are still strong and lasting and she is convinced that she will go through with her plan; a plan that culminates as planned on the fateful wedding day. Lorie's revenge on an unsuspecting Victor, who suspects absolutely nothing, surprises the man completely. While Victor waits impatiently at the altar for the woman's arrival, a letter arrives in which Lorie explains that she is sorry but cannot forget her past, which means too much to her, and therefore cannot marry Victor. Victor's surprise then turns to bewilderment and anger when he discovers that Lorie has stolen Prentiss from him having saved a copy of their contract. Showing the contract signed by Victor, Lorie meets Lucas to inform him that he has got Prentiss Industries back and wants to go looking for Lance to return with him, who is her one true love. Lucas is delighted with the news and wishes Lorie, about to leave for Paris, good luck. After that, Lorie takes off for her flight to Europe, full of hopes for a possible future with Lance.
