After Sally and Chuckie's departure, things between Chris and Snapper are back to normal; their marriage has also overcome this obstacle. Snapper apologizes to Chris for being insensitive to her and for neglecting her, ensuring that nothing means more to him than she and Jennifer. However, the obstacles never seem to end for the couple. Not even a month after saying goodbye to Chuckie, Snapper receives a letter from London, informing him that he has won a scholarship to study in London. Overjoyed, he informs his wife of the wonderful news and begins to fantasize about how fantastic Britain is, but he does not deal with Chris' opposition. Chris, feeling once again left behind, asks Snapper to give up as a token of his love, in spite of this he encourages her to move to England to have a unique experience. Then Snapper gets angry when Chris admits she doesn't want to give up her modeling career at Jabot Cosmetics, wanting to give her career a chance too; the woman doesn't find it right that always and only Snapper's working career should be favoured, to the disadvantage of her own. The situation seems to get worse and worse as time goes by and Snapper's departure date approaches. The pride of both of them does not allow second thoughts and the result is that Snapper leaves without Chris following him. However, it is not long before Chris realizes that she is unable to live without the man she loves. Realizing that her place and that of her daughter is with Snapper, she decides to join him in London, news that makes Snapper very happy. So it's goodbye time again, this time in the Foster and Brooks family. Snapper, back to take his wife and their daughter with him, says goodbye to his mother Jill and Greg, to whom he assigns the task of looking after their family. On the other hand, Jack wishes Chris good luck after the contract is sadly cancelled, and she says goodbye to his father and sisters before boarding the plane that represents the beginning of a new life.
