1981 (#24) - The story between Nikki and Andy, the madness of Eddie

Despite strong opposition from Casey and Jonas, Nikki continues to work at Jerry's The Bayou, enjoying considerable success and managing to put some money aside. Meanwhile, Nikki meets Andy Richards, a barman at Bayou, and starts dating him. Nikki, however, does not suspect that among her many secret admirers obtained during her shows there is also a certain Eddie Sullivan. Close to Casey's house, Eddie is obsessed with the woman until, following her, he enters the Bayou and discovers that the beautiful stripper, Nikki, is Casey's sister. Eddie turns his attention to Nikki and starts sending her anonymous letters, secretly calling and following her. Nikki soon realizes she's being stalked and starts to be afraid to leave the house. Eddie's harassment continues despite a police report, which still manages to locate the man. Eddie, meanwhile, determined to carry out his crazy plan to kill himself and the woman, kidnaps Nikki while she's out with Andy. The boy immediately alerts the police exactly in the moment Eddie, after bringing Nikki home, starts harassing her and confessing his absurd love, trying to convince the woman that they are meant for each other and that it is destiny for them to be together, in life or death. Right in front of Andy and the police, with Carl as the driver followed by Paul, informed of Nikki's kidnapping, Eddie blows up his house. A desperate Paul immediately breaks into the rubble in search of Nikki, miraculously alive, and saves her. For Eddie, who blew himself up hoping to take Nikki with him, there was nothing to be done and Carl could only confirm the death. For Nikki, completely shocked by what happened, it's difficult to put this whole thing behind her, even if she doesn't give up her job; much more upset is Casey, who decides to leave the city and break off her relationship with Jonas.
