1980 (#30) - Lance and Lorie gets the custody of Brooks

Some time after the shocking reunion between Lance and Priscilla, Jonas decides to get in touch with Lucas and arrange a meeting with Priscilla, or Leslie depending on what she wants to be called. Lucas thus has time and way to explain to Jonas and Priscilla all the events of their marriage and the birth of their son Brooks; Lucas carefully avoids telling Leslie about Brooks's fatherhood and is disappointed anyway when Leslie remembers nothing of the past. In a subsequent meeting with Lorie and Brooks, Leslie sadly admits that she has lost her memory. Upon learning the situation that Lucas is currently involved with Casey and that Lorie and Lance have welcomed the child into their marriage, Priscilla realizes that everyone has moved on with their lives anyway and that perhaps it is best for everyone that things continue as they are now. So Lorie and Lance manage to get full custody of Brooks from Leslie, since Leslie, or Priscilla, realizes that she cannot be a mother to a child she can't even remember giving birth. Jonas and Priscilla thus strengthen their union, just as Lance and Lorie formalize their family by legally welcoming little Brooks into the house; they all accept the events that fate has reserved for them.
