1978 (#15) - Lance's guilt, Leslie's pregnancy and Lorie's forgiveness

As the weeks went by, Lance's guilt over his betrayal in Denver with Leslie grew. And, at Leslie's own suggestion, the man understands that his marriage to Lorie is more important than he thought, and is convinced to try to put the pieces back together again. Lance and Lorie, thus, finally manage to talk and clarify themselves; Lorie, still hurt, cannot stop feeling anger towards her husband, but she cannot but admit to herself that she still loves him. So they try to start over, putting the past behind them. The reunion between Lorie and Lance leaves Leslie strangely disappointed and she slowly begins to understand that what she feels for Lance is not just a normal friendship. Leslie, however, is determined not to meddle in her sister's marriage and tries in every way she can to forget the man by focusing on her career and the precious presence of Brock. On the contrary, it is Leslie herself who incites Lance to fight for his marriage and convince Lorie to forgive her husband: once again, Leslie puts aside her own feelings for the happiness of others. However, Leslie's fragile balance is once again upset when she discovers that she is pregnant, and even more so when she realizes that Lance is the father of the child. The news of the pregnancy makes Vanessa happy, hoping for a reunion between the two. Brock, meanwhile, understands how the situation really is and, assuring Leslie to keep it a secret, understands that maybe it's time to step aside and give Leslie and Lance a chance to start a family together. But while everyone is waiting for Lance to return to Leslie at any moment, Lorie and Lance are surprisingly more united than ever and convinced that they want to continue their marriage. Leslie, who was just waiting for the right moment to give Lance the news, realizes that he has managed to make it up to Lorie and forget the night with her in Denver. She also understands that perhaps it is better to let the two of them live their happiness and so she decides to hide the paternity of the child she is carrying.
