1975 (#20) - Gwen’s call: the break up with Greg and she entering a convent

Just when everything seemed to be going well in the relationship with Gwen, and Greg was beginning to imagine a possible marriage, the relationship between the two broke down abruptly. Forced to take refuge in the convent, welcomed by Mother Superior Theresa Bellamy, when some delinquents seek her out to get her back on the road, the experience in the convent profoundly marks the woman. An increasingly confused Gwen, who returned to the city, is so forced to admit to Greg that she felt, within herself, her heart pointing a different way. Greg, convinced that there was another man in Gwen's life, was reassured about it; however, Gwen explained to him that she had heard God's call and that she must follow it. Gwen, in fact, received the Lord's call and is determined to follow it by pursuing her desire to become a nun. A surprised Greg is thus forced to put aside all his dreams of spending his life with the woman, while demonstrating full comprehension for this choice. In a moving last meeting, so, Greg wishes the woman to find herself and live a serene life full of joys, before closing the relationship with disappointment, a relationship that he felt really important and tries to focus on his work in the law firm. Some time later, Gwen returns to visit Greg under the guise of Sister Magdalene, and they both laugh about their curious affair, a memory that they will both carry positively in their hearts forever.
