1974 (#5) - Marital problems, Stuart's criticisms and Chris's pregnancy

The problems for the newly wed couple, formed between Chris and Snapper, are in the way. Right during the wedding night, while the two are in intimacy, Chris has memories of the brutal rape and when she begs Snapper to stop, he demostranting sentivity, tells her not to worry and that they have a life ahead of them to make love. But not all the problems were Chris' fault. Snapper is forced to endure the constant open criticism from Stuart, who complains, among other things, about how small their apartment is and how Snapper is inadequate for his daughter. Chris also suffers from his father's constant interference and feels that Snapper is getting further and further away, but she doesn't know that what torments Snapper is the thought of expecting a child from Sally. What brings joy back into the family is, meanwhile, Chris' discovery that she is expecting a child from Snapper. On the news of becoming a dad, Snapper's happiness has been hidden by fears that having another responsibility, such as raising a child, could frustrate his aspirations for a medical career; not to mention that Sally herself is expecting a child from him, behind his wife's back. Chris, completely enthusiastic about the news, is overjoyed and promises to support her husband with an unforgettable party. In fact, Snapper's medical degree is approaching, and he was hoping to finally start working to support his family without the help of Stuart, who would surely have burdened him with his inability to support not only a wife, but also a child.
