1974 (#3) - The return of Lorie, jealousy towards Leslie and job at Genoa Chronicles

The marriage between Chris and Snapper led Lorie to return home, a decision that would certainly lead up to a year of chaotic and surprising events for the whole Brooks family. Lorie is jealous of her older sister Leslie, whose career as a concert pianist captures all the attention of their parents. Feeling a deep hatred towards her sister, when Lorie learns that Leslie is living a happy love affair with the interesting and mysterious Brad, she decides to take revenge, plotting to make her sister's boyfriend her own. Stuart immediately notices that Lorie seems to feed the same old jealousies she had always felt towards her sister Leslie; in order to avoid creating tensions in the family, without the girl being forced to leave again, he offers her a place at the Genoa Chronicle, hoping to lessen her resentment. Lorie initially rejects the proposal, but later, when she discovers that Brad works at the same newspaper, she accepts the proposal, hoping to get closer to the man.
