Following Jack and Nikki's unexpected and sudden marriage, an irrepressible and angry Victor accuses Jack of subjugating the woman and using her solely to hurt him because of the thirst for revenge he's been feeling ever since he managed to win over Jabot. Jack confirms that he hates Victor for literally stealing the company from him and his father, but makes it clear that he clearly separates the two issues, since he loves Nikki and the woman never intended to return to her past with a man who doesn't deserve her. Victor, however, doesn't believe that this is the case at all, and goes so far as to propose him an incredible deal: he will return Jabot to him if he will let Nikki go free, being convinced that she would return to him immediately. Jack, who actually feels guilty himself for what happened to his father being the real culprit of the loss of their company, shows himself at least interested and asks Victor for some time to think about it. Fought over whether to refuse the proposal or accept the pact, whose required sacrifice could be an opportunity to redeem himself in the eyes of his father, Jack arrives at the meeting with Victor, who has already prepared the documents for the agreement, without having a clear decision to make. The situation, however, is crystal clear to Nikki, informed by Victor of the very possibility of divorce with Jack and not at all willing to be considered a bargaining chip between the two men. Disappointed by the fact that Jack, freshly married, is already considering the possibility of selling her out, she storms off. Jack, who not only risks losing his company but also his woman, runs after her under Victor's amused gaze, convinced that he knows how to take matters into his own hands. Nikki, disappointed and furious with her husband, throws him out of the house. Jack, intent on saving his marriage, begs his wife not to start divorce proceedings and promises to win her back, even though Nikki is already beginning to consider the possibility that she made a mistake in marrying him, not without a hint of regret for not having chosen Victor. Jack's numerous attempts to recover his marriage all seem futile, until fate somehow comes to his aid. In fact, when he notices young Victoria unconscious in his swimming pool, Jack runs to her aid, saving her under the happy eyes of Nikki, who thanks her husband with sincere gratitude. The episode thus allows Jack to be seen with new eyes by Nikki, who agrees to give him a second chance to really make their union work.
