1988 (#13) - Jack's discoveries about Brad and Traci's pregnancy

Increasingly suspicious of Brad, and convinced that the man is attracted and interested only by the Abbott's wealth rather than Traci's love, Jack contacts Paul and hires him to investigate Brad's past. In the meantime, a passionate Traci reveals to Brad her desire to have a child and thus enlarge their family, a request that does not excite Brad but which he eventually accepts. Meanwhile, Paul's investigations reveal facts and events that satisfy, but do not surprise, Jack. In fact, it seems that the "golden boy", the nickname used by Jack for Brad, was once a gardener for many years of the wealthy Mansfield family, and, just as now, curiously married the owner's young daughter, Lisa Mansfield. Jack couldn't leave out these incredible analogies and, convinced that he could make Traci and John open their eyes on Brad's account, he contacted Lisa's parents, Richard and Terry Mansfield, who live in Chicago, and who confirmed to him that Brad was a profiteer and that he completely deceived and exploited their daughter to obtain their fortune. Luckily for them, however, Richard managed to get their marriage annulled, as Lisa was only 16 at the time, thus ordering Brad out of their lives. Convinced that he had all the evidence to pull Brad out of their lives, Jack runs to inform John and Traci, but interrupts them at the very moment when a very happy Traci tells her father she is expecting a child. John, enthusiastic, decides to toast and celebrate, and Jack, taken completely by surprise, is unable to say a word, promising to reveal the whole truth as soon as possible. What no one has come to terms with, however, is the return to the city of an obsessed Lisa, ready to do anything to get her Brad back.
