1987 (#15) - Traci's return to studies and the understanding between Brad and Lauren

Deeply saddened by the loss of her child, Traci, with her brother Jack's support, blames Brad for the death of their child. Despite these attempts to talk some sense into the woman. Traci accuses her husband of thinking only about work and reproaches him for refusing to spend more time with her at this particular time. When John takes Brad's side, reminding his daughter of the importance of work at Jabot, the old quarrels between John and Traci re-emerge. Suddenly, the woman feels a lack of air around her and feels imprisoned in Genoa City; she then decides to put aside these tensions by leaving the city to return to the University. Traci's decision to finish her studies is strongly criticized by her father, but Traci informs both him and Brad that she has already enrolled in the new courses at Stanford. Just as Jack noted, Traci makes no secret of the fact that she will be attending lectures from Professor Tim Sullivan, with whom she had an affair in the past; the woman, in fact, is determined to test her marriage to Brad and to test both her own and her husband's feelings. Brad assures Traci that he loves her and that he will not ask her for a divorce; he accepts her decision but does not approve of her choice at all, so much so that he has no intention of promising her fidelity, since she has decided to abandon him. Once she has left, Traci goes to Stanford where she soon meets a surprised Tim, who is happy to see her again.Traci explains to Tim all his latest events, and the man does not fail to express his hope that something can be reborn between him and Traci. Meanwhile, in Genoa City, Brad accidentally runs into a sad Lauren at Gina's, who has come out of her affair with Paul in a bad way. Between the two there's immediately a strong feeling and attraction, so much so that the two start dating more and more often.
